Oppsie!

We just tried to find out who was parked in Jerry's garage space at work and had no luck, so we had it towed.  The guy was livid and could not believe we would have him towed from OUR spot that we pay for.

  • I never understood parking in other peoples' places, eating other peoples' food, etc.  Unless it wasn't clearly marked and he legitimately thought it was a public space (which I doubt), there's no excuse for that.

Agreed. At school I always see reserved parking and am sometimes tempted to park there if I just have to run in real quick but chicken out because someone would notice I'm not that special, haha

  • Exactly!  I just called the police non-emergency number to let them know who towed it and where so when the person comes out they can pick it up.

  • well he deserved it and I would have done the same thing!   I hope he remembers that and reconsiders his parking habits in the future.

We had issues when we lived in an apt complex with very limited parking, people always parked in front of our garages which they weren't supposed to do.   We only got a tow once, and the dude acted all pissy, too, even though his shiit had been there long enough for a tow to show up and take it off....   I didn't mind if it was someone checking the mail really quick but you don't just go block someone else's spot that they PAY for!!

  • There are also posters everywhere stating the policy.  Dumbass.

The cops just said the car is registered to this address, so they should know better.

  • He deserved it. That's like people who park in the handicapped spaces and don't understand why they got towed. Um, because you aren't allowed to?

That reminds me of a funny story.  There's a handicapped lady that lives in my apartment building.  One day one of the maintenance guys parked his golf cart in her spot and she had to park somewhere else.  She rode over to the golf cart on her scooter and saw that the maintenance guy had left the keys in it.  She took the keys and wouldn't give them back for days.  Stick out tongue

Yes!  The oddest thing is that his spot is not on an end, or anywhere that is obvious.  He also has his car there a lot, it is not vacant often and his spot is the #1 place for people to park when they aren't supposed to.
