Sushi's Anne of Green Gables comment got me thinking. What do you watch when Dh isn't around because he can't stand it?
Re: Movie/Tv question
Ha, H likes pretty much everything I like, right down to The City and Revenge. It's more the other way around - I refuse to watch things like Spartacus (so much blood!) with him. He also likes Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which I don't really enjoy.
lol!
I did watch all of Mad Men and Downton Abbey on my own, though.

That's kinda what Dh does. He'll mimic it and be really funny but it ruins it. SATC irritated him beyond no end.
I'll typically watch MadMen with out him. He wasn't a fan. Downton Abbey though I got him hooked he wanted to know what happened to Mr. Bates and Anna.
Same for us. DH mocks them and I can't really enjoy the show when he's around.
I watch Walking Dead when DH isn't home because he doesn't like scary shows or movies.
I watch Walking Dead alone, too--for me, it's the mocking. Josh thinks zombies are silly and starts making comments that irritate me. Same with Harry Potter, but I have to give him credit: he saw the last one in the theater with me and didn't mock it. But he now mocks the DVD. :P
When we're watching something new together, we tend to MST3K it as we're watching. So I'm probably just as bad as he is.
For movies, I'll rent some cheesy romantic comedies that he doesn't want to see.
In terms of tv, we're mostly on the same page since we've really tried to limit the number of shows that we follow. Greys Anatomy is probably the only thing he doesn't really watch with me, but he'll put up with it if he has to - he knows better than to get between me and my Greys on Friday evenings!

DH isn't into my trashy reality shows so I just DVR them and watch them when he isn't around.
I don't like swamp men and thats his favorite show so he normally watches it when I am not around.
Pretty well the only thing I watch that he hates is Survivor. He just doesn't get it.
Well, that and almost anything on the Food Network, though he does like Top Chef.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
I really love Top Chef but I have noticed lately that it seems less about cooking and more about the special judge or product placement and it makes me sad.
