Re: AW yourself here.

  • that's awesome!

my aw: i think my hair looks really cute today.

  • Holy crap, interro.

I've gotten lots of compliments on my scarf today.  It's a bright blue with dark blue and red and creme flowers and branches, and is from Turkey.

    Look with your special eyes.
  • I'm a cartoon artist.

I just had a one person show in December -- my first one -- and a local paper ran a very nice interview about me.:)
  • You GO GIRL! Love it!!!!!!!!! I wish I had been there!

Interro- I'm SERIOUSLY impressed.  I don't think my body is capable of that.

For my own AW- H informed me that he was bragging to me at work today about having finished War & Peace in 12 days.  I guess there was a good amount of shocked reactions.  It just makes me feel all warm & fuzzy that H likes to brag about me.

  • Thats amazing Interrobang! If I tried that, I'd be in a body cast. LMAO!
Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker ...here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart I carry your heart(I carry it in my heart)
  • Awesome Interro - what pose is that?

    parsva bakasana - side crow

I'm answering for her because it's an AW thread and I'm AW'ing my yoga knowledge. :P

  • Aww, thanks guys :) FTR ... I did not look nearly as graceful as this woman! This is called parsva bakasana ... a sideways crow/crane (I've heard it called both, I don't know which is right or if both are?). Getting into it is actually not as hard as it looks, but I was surprised I had enough core strength to get up into the balance!
  • I thought it looked like some version of crow. Thanks for your yoga knowledge BBE! This all reminds me of how desperately I need to get back into my yoga class.
  • It's referred to as both...in the States we call it crow, but the Sanskrit translation is crane, so that's why you've heard both Interro!  :)

I always refer to it as crow, but crane sounds so much more graceful, doesn't it? I may have to change the way I call it in class - I'm sure people would rather be graceful flowy cranes than sqwaking creepy crows.
