work out routines

Hi girls,

I recently joined a fittness club (with childcare,yay!)  and back in the day i was a swimmer and continued working out after that but have really slacked over the last few years with being pregnant,etc. 

I feel lost at the gym and wanted to see if you guys knew of any sites that could give me a workout plan or something?  the gym has personal trainers but i really dont feel like paying money for it..

Help!

  • I've been doing C25K but when I was going to the gym I did the circuit training( similar to curves)

  • I am paying $80 a month to meet with a trainer twice a month. I was lost at the gym too and had no clue what to do or if I was doing it right. I've met with him once so far and my quads were so sore I could barely walk for 4 days afterwards. I was supposed to meet with him today but I couldn't risk not being able to walk tomorrow since I am working in the peds ER. I also haven't been to the gym since I first met with him :-(

  • I haven't done anything recently. But, if you're lost at the gym and want a small gym feeling, try looking into small personal training centers that offer small group classes. That's typically what I do when I do work out. My classes are $10 per class and they are small, which I love. Also, the owners of the gym are always there and it feels like your being trained b/c they will always correct your form if you aren't doing it correctly.

    Also, have you looked into CrossFit?

  • not sure if this is what you're looking for, but myfitnesspal.com will track calories in/out so it will basically tell you how much to eat/exercise...
