What's the secret to a good life?
Re: QOTD
My new things to live by are
- Free your heart of hatred
- Free your mind from worries
- Live simply
- Expect less
- Give more
And some of them are harder than other to stay on top of, but since changing how I think/feel with them, I've been a lot happier, less stressed, I don't obsess over stupid things. It's liberating.
I think you can also easily lead a good, happy life by just appreciating all the blessing that you have.
I'm a breastfeeding, baby wearing, cloth diapering, co-sleeping, anti-CIO Mommy

Brie's Blog 10.11.08 The Top Shelf Bookshelf
my read shelf:
One of the blogs I read had a post about this yesterday. This woman's friend admired a 40 something co worker who seemed so happy and had it all and she asked that woman what the secret was and that lady said "Being happy with 80%".
At first that seems crazy to perfectionists who want to do everything 100% but really, it's not always possible and we should be thankful for what we do have even if it's not what we wish for. One example in the post was we find all kinds of things we don't like about our house but we should remember at least we have a house (and husband, healthy kids, jobs, etc).
So, basically, like the other girls said, be grateful.
