A friend and I are going to Vegas in June...she's never been and I've been twice but stayed with my sister. Any pros and cons on both hotels would be good. We know we are going to be spending more money staying there so we are already saving. So if any of you have stayed at either any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Re: bellagio or ceasars?
We've only been to Vegas once & stayed @ the Bellagio. Im not sure if we would have picked it ourselves, but we were staying w/other people in a wedding. That being said, there's no reason why we wouldn't have picked it...if that makes sense...which it probably doesn't!
It was a nice hotel, but super busy. & I wished there would have been more options for simple, casual dining....But, rooms were nice, clean, & big. Bathroom was super big too.
we are frequent vegas visitors. i've stayed at both resorts and it would be a toss up for me, keeping the following in mind:
don't stay in the Roman tower at CP - the rooms are old and dingy
both hotels get a lot of foot traffic i.e. - there are tourists (and guests) clogging up the public areas at all times.
CP is HUGE. Massive.
If you go to bed before 12AM or so, you can hear the music from the fountains if something to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper or you have to wuss out b/c of East Coast time
the pools are very nice at both places. Bellagio's pools are classier / prettier.
I like the casino at Bellagio much better in both looks and rules. Not sure if you are a gambler, but the blackjack rules are much better at Bellagio.
both have very good Strip locations and lots of food options.
My H does not love the B as he thinks it is too pretentious. I disagree. But, we're going back to CP in about 2 weeks.
I don't think the time will be an issue...we are both 26 and plan on staying up late anyway. I am not familiar with any of the hotels...except visiting them when I stayed with my sister so I'm not sure which rooms are part of the roman tower at CP..are they just the standard rooms? (cheapest price??). Since we are going in June our main concern is a really nice/big pool(s). We aren't sure which one to stay at but during the time fram Bellagio is actually 200 cheaper. We aren't big gamblers so I don't think the casino is a main concern for us either
Balbacm..would you have any other good recommendations?? something with a great pool(s) The only reason we chose those two is because her Ex-H stayed at Bellagio and he said it was awesome and she's also heard other people say CP is really nice as well so we weren't sure which to pick
Hi - Mandalay Bay and MGM have awesome pools, arguably the best in Vegas. They will be packed in June (as will most of the pools!) but there are typically more kids in Vegas during the summer.
I'd also look into the Mirage - it is reasonably priced and their pool has a cool party atmosphere if that's your thing.
Yes, the Roman tower is the cheapest at CP. I'd stay at the Bellagio if you are comparing CP basic rooms to the B's basic rooms.
Now one of my husband's friends just told me that CP has a 21 an over pool?? That would be good since there might be alot of kids..lol The decision is getting harder and harder to make
most of the adult pools have a cover ranging from $10-30 (these are typically topless-optional pools). Ladies usually get in free during the week, and have to pay on the weekends. Guys always have to pay. That is just my experience.
Any of the hotels that were mentioned in the post have really nice pools, adult or not. I have never seen anywhere with pools like Vegas. You won't be disappointed.
I stay at Caesars Palace frequently.
You can see a typical room in the Augustus Tower here.
Here are some restaurants in Caesars Palace, too:
bradley ogden -- caesars palace
central michel richard -- caesars palace
guy savoy -- caesars palace
hyakumi -- caesars palace (dinner)
hyakumi -- caesars palace (lunch)
mesa grill (part i) -- caesars palace
mesa grill (part ii) -- caesars palace
munchbar -- caesars palace
payard -- caesars palace (brunch)
payard -- caesars palace (to-go counter)
rao's -- caesars palace
serendipity 3 -- caesars palace (lunch)
serendipity 3 -- caesars palace (brunch + dessert)
Good luck with your decision.
Another reason why I find your life so awesome. (other than all that lawyering business)
