How do you organize your laundry room?

I'm talking about those weird little odds n' ends in particular - lingerie bags, the little drying rack that goes in a front load dryer, etc. Right now mine just kind of get tossed wherever but I'd really like to have some sort of organization with it.

Are there any hooks, racks or other  organizational method that you like and find helpful?

Thanks!

Anniversary

Re: How do you organize your laundry room?

  • I think in our house the laundry room used to have a different washer and dryer built into the counters and when we took over the house there was a different set washer/dryer so we have huge gaps in our cabintes/counters in our laundry room and for the time being until we remodel the laundry room I have filled the space with storage bins and the jugs of bleach on the side to fill the space. I put garment bags, fabric sheets, stain pens, iron, clothing starch and other gadgets in those drawers and have the bottom drawer lined with a trash bag and filled with powder detergent and the scoop. It has served me well so far until we remodel.

  • I installed cupboards to hide most of the soap etc. However I hung a row of hooks on my two side walls to hold all the stuff I use with regularity.
  • Our new house has drawers underneath the washer/dryer.  All the oddments hide in there.

Yup, those pedestals are totally worth the extra $. Also we have a small clothes rack thing mounted on the wall and some other pegs to hang stuff on.

  • I have a small basket that holds all of it, that I put in the cabinet.

  • We have the front loading washer and dryer on pedestals, so we store everything in the pedestals.  In between, we have a counter with a sink in it and storage below, but that is where we keep the dog food.
