  I did a 25k race as a training run for my full and I found it to be easier than the half; however I ran it at a significantly slower pace than I ran the half and I had already done a few training runs in the 15-16 mile range.  But, I honestly don't believe it is that much different.

  I'm in training now... so I'll know in a couple of months! I'm doing so much better in my training this time around though because 10+ runs don't seem as intimidating after my first 1/2 last fall. My vote is that a 25K won't be too much harder if you've recently trained for a 1/2!

  I hope it is easier!  It's a trail run, so eep on that.  But I did a half in December and one in February, then I have another one in less than two weeks and then a month until the 25k.

  I don't know the trails out there but I would say that it being a trail run is pretty significant.

  The one 10 mile trail race I've done was just as hard as a half marathon so I think a 25K would be significantly harder if the trails are somewhat technical.

  oh yeah, I should ask Josh how those two races compare.  He said there's no climbs like the xc trails at Memorial, so that's good at least.

  Hogs Hunt 25K.  Hubs is doing the 50K, so I'm doing this to "pass the time" while he's out there.  Somehow I think this was a dumb call on my part.
