Newbie Just wanted to say Hi
And introduce myself... been lurking for a week or so and this forum cracks me up!
Re: Newbie Just wanted to say Hi
HI!
Are you married? If so, for how long? How old are you? What do you do in your free time for fun?
Currently Reading: Don Quixote by Miguel De Cervantes
I am 34 and married with two kids. I live outside of Boston. I work for a health club as the billing manager and so I like to work out, yoga, reading, etc.
I don't have trouble in paradise but marriage aint easy. Been married for 7 years. Almost called it quits after 2 years and glad I didn't.
What happened?
I'm originally from right outside of Boston. Welcome to TIP.
Well we got married, bought a house and had a kid all within 10 months of getting married. It was stressful. I had PPD (post partum). I couldn't work, money was tight... The first two years of marriage was brutal. Thought I had made a mistake etc. I was/am a very independent person and found compromise tough. We worked through it and we are better for it. We have our good times and bad and really bad and really good times too but in the end I wouldn't want to spend it wiht anyone else.
So if you are outside of Boston you know just how awesome it is outside today!
Welcome to TIP!
imoan took most of the questions! Have any pets?
I'm originally from there, but have been living in NC for about 9 years now. I hear the weather has been nice this winter though.
Jump in if you have something good to stay; stay silent forever if what you have to say is stupid.
Welcome.
Nope no pets. My husband is allergic to dogs (which I would love to have) and cats. Well my son has a fish named Jaws but he hardly counts as a pet haha.
Trying to think of whatelse? I am an open book so if you have any other questions pls feel free. I think this board is great
Welcome.
No particular rules. Just chime in when you have something to add!
I can't imagine all those stresses within the 1st year of marriage. DH and I have been together for over 10 years (married for almost 5) and the worst year of our marriage was after we had our first child. I can't imagine the house-buying and having it be the first year of marriage on top of that. Eeek!
Hiiii!
There are a bunch of us from the Northeast, I am about two hours north of you.
Just jump in, you'll soon find that there is no etiquette on TIP - we were deemed the trashy hors of the Nest years ago.
Do you drink? Beverage of choice?
