I walked a mile and a half

for the first time in 6 years. I'm eating right. I feel good.

I'm currently 298lbs. I want to loose weight and have children. I want to be able to climb a flight of stairs or bend over to tie my shoes without feeling restricted.

My husband admitted that he wants to be able to lift me up- he feels like he's missing out on something.

I'm not going to take the easy way out like doing some fab diet or a diet pill. I'm going to work off the fat I put on body.

I just wanted to share because I don't want anyone to tell. I just wanted to let it out.

  • Good for you! It's hard in the beginning, but so worth the results. It's great that you have good support as well.

This board is great, has great tips and lots of motivation to keep you going. :)

  • Awesome job!

On January 2, 2010, I weighed 275 pounds. Since then, by first counting calories and then joining Weight Watchers, I have lost 70 pounds and have about 45 pounds to go. If I can do it, you can too! And this is a great place to come for inspiration! Stick around!

  • I've been where you are too. It's hard work, but so worth it!

The only advice I can give is to not give up, no matter what the scale says, no matter how long it takes, just get back on track and keep going!

  • Great job and keep up the good work!  WW might be a great option for you as well.  And remember, it is hard, but you can do it.  There will be days that you might not fare as well, but again, tomorrow is another day to start fresh.  Good job!
  • Yay for you! I think a mile and a half is a fantastic start!

  • Congratulations on taking the first step!

It's not easy, but it's definitely worth it!  I started my journey a little over a year ago - it can be done!

  • That's fantastic!

November 2010, I weighed 300lbs and I vowed never to see that 3 again.

Right now, I weigh 49lbs and I've starting running and I can run 3km. It's amazing how far you can get with hard work.

    Keep it up! :)

  • Great job! Taking that first step is HARD. Keep going, one thing that I've found helpful is taking it one day at a time. Its intimidating to look at the whole journey from the beginning of the road. But one step at a time will get you to the end of the road.

  • Good for you! You're going to do great. Just be patient with your body, the key is to keep going, no matter if you have a bad day or a good day, just one foot in front of the other. You're already off to a fabulous start!
