Has anyone flown Pegasus Airlines?
There's an option to choose seats at the time of booking. Each window or aisle seat costs $8. The total pp airfare is only $40, so I'm a bit peeved about paying this extra cost. Do Pegasus passengers typically choose their seats in advance, or is this a feature that only attracts dumb Americans like me?
Re: Has anyone flown Pegasus Airlines?
I'm cheap and I'm trying to put together a cost-effective trip. At checkout, this is one of many add-on features, so they all add up. Payment for this extra feature is 20% of the ticket fare. Sounds bonkers to me.
I've never flown Pegasus, but I've flown a number of other airlines that charge to allow you to choose seats. I never bother. Unless you're traveling in a large group or you absolutely cannot survive if you're in a middle seat, I don't think it's worth it.
Do you know if they assign seats at check-in or if it's open boarding (ala RyanAir or Southwest)? If they actually assign seats and you just have the option to choose in advance, then I'd say it's definitely not worth it.
