Kid friendly rentals in DC?

We're having to rush to change dates around for our trip to DC for the cherry blossoms and now DH's sister won't be in town when we first arrive.  We could maybe stay at their house while they are gone, but I'm already thinking that adding the 4 of us to their modest townhouse in Capitol Hill might be a bit too snug for a week anyway.

Anyone have any recs for house/flat rentals in DC near Capitol Hill?  I'm guessing little kids wouldn't work at a B&B?  I do still need to get into our room during the day for nap time.

Or a funky hotel/motel? Thanks!

Re: Kid friendly rentals in DC?

  • You would literally be renting someone's house, so it's hard to give a reco.  It's not like DC is a vacation place with tons of weekly rentals.  I'd go to Homeaway, or check on Craigs list

  • Check out the Liaison Capitol Hill.  It's a boutique hotel close to Union Station.  My parents stayed there last summer and liked it.  It has a great restaurant, Art and Soul.
