Jessica Simpson's naked pregnant magazine cover
My eyes have rolled so far into the back of my head, they might get stuck.
Nothing says AW to me than posing naked on a magazine cover when you're pregnant. Or really any sort of naked posing when you're pregnant. I cringed when I had maternity photos done and they wanted me to lift my shirt to show the belly. But then again, I cringe for most photos.
So what do you think. Cute? Or shamelessly AW-y?
(Oh, and super airbrushed I might add).
Re: Jessica Simpson's naked pregnant magazine cover
That has got to be serioulsy airbrushed (why did I even look?!?!) because every picture I've seen of her pregnant she has been HUGE.
And I agree that naked pregnancy pics are in super poor taste.
I agree!! Jessica looks like she has gained at least as much weight as I did during pregnancy. And I gained 60+ lbs with each. I gained like, 9 newborns' worth of lbs. There's no way I looked like that naked.
Plus my stomach got really hairy. And it got that weird pregnancy line. Get THAT picture out of your head!
I am super confused about her.
I remember watching an interview with her and Nick on Larry King. It was right after they got married. She went on and on about all the things in her life that are important to her, such as her marriage and morality and her faith. And how she "waited till marriage" to have sex and how she thinks you should be married to have sex... Now she is knocked up and unmarried?
(it should be noted at this point that I personally am not a "Christian" or have the same beliefs)
How do you go from being so *very* public with these beliefs to unmarried-pregnant? It blows my mind.
Plus - how did she let Nick get away? He seemed/seems like such a catch.
When you've been married this long, you need a ticker to remind you.

Oh for crying out loud. She married Nick Lachey when she was 22-fcking-years-old. I think she's allowed to change her mind on what her "beliefs" are from 22 to 30.
As for Nick - yeah, divorcing him was a mistake. I think he's a keeper. But, alas, I am happy to see him married and happy w/ somebody else so I'm over it.
My "moral compass" or "deeply held beliefs" have not substantially changed from 22 to 30.

IMO, her beliefs are changing as she distances herself from her dad and becomes who she wants to be.
PapaJoe totally had her brainwashed. There's no two ways around that one. He knew the virginity thing coupled with her looks would mean a large payday.

This x a billion. At 22 I was still doing a LOT of things because they were how I was raised ... Christianity will do that to you. Not that it's bad to be a Christian, but there is a huge amount of pressure to live up to the standards you were raised with, even if you don't necessarily agree with them. There are traditions you might hate or question your whole life but you still feel extremely tied to them and unsure of how to get away from them.
Once you're divorced it's kind of ridiculous to pretend you'll be a virgin bride anyway. I would have no qualms, NOW, about living with Mr. Bang before we're engaged/married or even having a child with him while we were engaged if birth control failed, but before I married XH, no way in h3ll would I have been open enough about my choices to do that. It was all very "don't ask, don't tell".
