DH and I are going to St Lucia at the end of the month and I'm a bit confused. We're staying at Sandals (couples only resort). I've been looking online but I can't find anything about activies to do off the resort. I was hoping to go ziplinig, rainforest etc.
Anyone have any ideas or have been there? When I was looking at the map I didn't realize just how big St Lucia really is. From the map we're going to be in Gros Islet.
Re: St Lucia help
St. Lucia is so pretty! Yay for you.
It would be a drive, but there is a strenuous hike/climb of Gros Piton (one of the two volcanic cones on St. L.). DH and I did it on our honeymoon. Amazing views from the top, but ONLY do this if you are an avid hiker, have good solid shoes, and are used to strenuous trails. Honestly, it killed me...LOL but the views were worth it.
Also, and this is just something to mention so you can be prepared, St. Lucia is a poor country. If you go off property, you will see many sites/smells that you'd never come across in the US.
We are actually there right now ( Sandals Grande). Leaving tomorrow. Boo!
It's our second trip here (stayed here for our hm).
Anyway, I've got a review and pics from our first trip and pics and daily diaries from this week in the link above my siggy pic ( go to travel reviews, all wording is clickable).
Hth and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Please don't mind any mistakes in the daily diaries. I'm typing them while here and just throwing them up on our site. I WILL be fixing them when we get home
