Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

The Nest and Pinterest
Ok, this is blowing up on other boards (WC especially), wanted to get some Niner input and kind of PSA at the same time.
on WC (and boards like F&B and D&R), we have daily threads posting pictures of blog updates, etc. TN is pinning those THREADS, with pics and our screen names. Meaning, someone sees a picture from my (or anyone's) blog, sees my screen name, and links back to the thread on TN. Where they can then click on my SN and see all of my posts.
see why this is a problem? Flattering they want to pin our stuff? of course. But a serious violation of our privacy. and in TN TOU legal hoopla, they say that anything we post here is essentially owned by then and they have to right to use it in the newsletter, other pages, etc. We all know that. but now they are taking our content and posting it on a 3rd party site. Which also violates Pinterest's TOU.
Now, the Niner board this isn't really an issue, but there are all kinds of talks about WC and other boards moving to an offboard permanently to avoid TN stealing our content and using it to drive their own traffic.

exactly. If they were pinning your actual blog, no harm. Win win, actually. But TN doesn't get any traffic/revenue from pinning YOUR blog. That's why they link back to posts, which isn't cool.
