  • So wait. A doctor can lie to me and say there's no genetic defect in my fetus when there is one, then I can't sue him/her for deliberately providing misinformation? WHAT.

  • We were talking about this on WW this morning. It's sickening.
  • Even I hate this bill. And I am totally against abortion. The things I have been seeing the republicans do lately has been making me ill.

  • This and the divorce guy in WI are crazy. Actual lunacy. How is this happening?

  • Oklahoma passed basically this same bill a few years ago.  It is still being challenged (as in, not yet repealed).  Sad. It is embarrassing and terrifying. I'm pretty sure here the doctor can even lie to you if the problem creates additional risk for you.
  • I find it hard to believe that there are physicians out there (Ob/Gyn's, no less) that would not disclose to a woman a vital piece of information about her baby or pregnancy. I'm sure there are some out there; but, ffs, how do laws like these not violate informed consent? How does this not make the reproductive medical community seem even more suspect? In other news, I'm kind of upset about moving to Texas, from a reproductive rights standpoint.

  • You should be Ribth, and nervous.

These laws are overwhelmingly passing here, so I have to think there are some doctors out there who will let their own definition of morality override a patient's right to know the truth.
