I always said I'd never pay that much for workout clothes. I checked out the website and scoffed "eh, what's so special about that."
But I walked into a store 2 days ago and tried on a pair of shorts.
And I was powerless. How could I leave something there that made my butt look so awesome??
Curses!! (shakes fist at sky)

Re: Dear Lululemon lovers
(cue the people running into the thread saying they'd NEVER pay that much for workout gear...we get it)
I'm with you. I love it, it's good quality, and it's cute enough that I'll wear it to CrossFit or the grocery store. And it makes my azz look amazing.

Lol, I was in the same boat as you until I went INSIDE a store last week for the first time. I wore my turbo shorts for a 3 mile run with NO body glide adn they did NOT chafe and they did NOT ride up! This is a first for me for shorts that are not compression! AND they look super cute! I also wore them to crossfit yesterday and they performed VERY well! :-)
Now my bank account might by down $500+ as I replaced my running essentials with LLL stuff!
you guys are killing me. I've been telling myself I don't need lululemon and haven't let myself try any on...but now I want to.
I WANT TO SO BAD.
If you try it on you will buy it. That's the bottom line.
LOL. Seriously. We get it.
I freakin' love it and wear the crap out of my lulu stuff. To me it's worth the money because of how much I use it.
Wan ... I want to say "try it" because I love the stuff and I'm sure you will to. But do not try it on unless you are okay with giving in and buying it! I wouldn't say I became powerless, but it's very hard to resist. I resisted it for years before making a purchase right after Christmas. I now own 5 shirts, 4 pants, a scarf and a gym bag, and probably need to join some kind of support group.
The tanks were in the Washington, DC area a few weeks ago, but I haven't seen them in the Boston area yet (went last weekend). Boston still had yoga pants and zip-up jackets, both of which perform really well.

I hate you very much
All the cool kids are doing it!!
If you need a support group, I should be committed! I joined one of the LLL facebook groups and that was REALLY bad for my bank account!
I work out just so I can wear my lululemon. I am obsessed.
I guess I'm really lucky that I work in a gym because then it can be my "work clothes."
I mean, I don't have to buy business suits or anything, right?
I'm currently justifying it with "it stretches, so it's maternity clothes, right?"

I have a couple pieces myself- but the thing that really bugs me is that the company does some really sketchy things AND it's really elitist (and boring) to be walking around totally decked out head-to-toe in LLL. It's like so completely predictable and bland now because so many people are sporting it.
I can't tell you how many girls I see coming into the gym here in Minneapolis in Uggs, LLL work-out gear, North Face jacket, and fill-in-the-blank designer purse. Ugh! They are like herds of robotic creatures that I feel uncomfortable around!
I do agree though that the fit is awesome.
