I lurk-- I admit it. And I'm sorry if that is creepy for some of you ladies, and I see how it could be. I could be a total weirdo (I'm not, but it is possible).
I want to say that I am SO SAD that you are leaving here, and I really appreciated the daily blog round up for the 6 months or so I knew about it. It inspired my creativity for my weekly meal planning and introduced me to things I never would have thought of before (most notably, pulling chicken in a kitchenaid and also Chicken Enchilada soup, which I had never heard of and it is now for dinner probably 5 days a month).
I understand why you are leaving, but I think it sucks that this happened and I just sent my husband about a hundred crying faces about all of this over gchat. He is pretty bummed too. He benefited a lot from your posts.
I've subscribed to some of your blogs, so there is that slight glimmer of hope, but I'm bummed that I won't be able to see new things from those of you I haven't subscribed to.
Anyway, I guess all I need to say is thanks for the memories and for opening me up to ideas that I didn't even know existed. You are all doing an amazing job with your blogs and I wish you good luck in the future.
Re: Well, this is horrible.
Hey almost-neighbor!
It really sucks, doesn't it. But many of us will still post BUs without pictures, like we did today. I think so, at least ... I will!

I'll probably post pictures too, just to tempt fate.
my food blog

or using our sigs for a day was a good idea too ...

I agree - this is sad
I lurked on here for a long time, and have been posting a little more frequently. I don't have a blog, so this does not directly affect me bc no one is stealing my photos. BUT I'm concerned about someone in my "real life" stumbling on this board and figuring out that I post here. I, like many of you, use TheNest as an "anonymous" place to post (even though it's completely public, I know).
Anyway, I hope that this board doesn't completely fall apart because I love it!! I will make sure to bookmark all your blogs anyway...
I feel like I could have written this same exact post. I'm sad that most people are leaving, but I understand why.
Like my blog on Facebook
different people = different board. a new addition now and then is awesome and well-received, but it's the regulars that make What's Cooking What's Cooking.

I think a lot of people will still be around posting and sharing BUs. I visit more than just WC here, and I'm sure others do too.
And join in! Share your weekly meal plan in those posts, ask questions, etc. Everyone benefits from a wider range of experience, different cooking styles, and so on.
This exactly!! I have been on this board since 2006 and I was a lurker for the most part (weird I know) but I do post occasionaly. I have learned so much in the kitchen and I have became a decent cook (compared to how I was prior to the nest). I have so many favorite blogs but not one of my own - This is sad
