Watching US tv overseas

So since the shutdown of Megavideo we haven't had great luck getting US tv here.  We have been using Sidereel and click on various links to watch tv with not much luck.  I am missing my Real Housewives, Bethenny Ever After, etc. Sad

We do have a VPN to connect to Hulu (or the like), but it is slow for us and we have to wait weeks for new eposides to appear.

So ladies...what do you use?

  • fastpasstv.ms

    Its a lifesaver!

  • I also used to use Sidereel, and it's pretty useless for me these days!

    I really like firststoptv.com

It's similar to Sidereel, but even better because all the sites are in one window, so you can choose the one you like best. Not sure if that makes sense - but you'll see when you check it out!

  • Latel I use tv-links.eu. But I also downloaded a hotspot shield which assigns me.an american ip.address so I can watch anything on hulu or any other us network channel. It is pretty great.

  • I use watchseries dot eu or ch131 dot com

Both have been ok since megavideo, but I have found I need to click on a few links before something works.

  • I use cuevana.tv. It works well, and has all new episodes and movies, however, it also has Spanish subtitles. It's good for us because DH doesn't always understand the English spoken, but it might annoy native English speakers.

  • We finally got a connection fast enough to make using the hotspot shield worthwhile with hulu. I had one glorious night of tv viewing and when I went back the next day it said it noticed I was hiding my IP address and that I'm not allowed Crying

Does the hotspot shield cost money? We thought about getting a Super VPN subscription, but now that we live out in the boonies, we have hillbilly internet access, so we don't watch a lot of stuff online anymore.

  • I had a slingbox in the UAE and it was so comforting to watch real American tv--commercials and all!

Yeah if we ever move back to Europe I will be hooking up a slingbox to my parent's cable.

Now Nesting from Chicago, IL My nail blog:
  • A friend of mine in Texas has a Slingbox that he almost never uses, so we get to use it a lot. Or we used to; since we've moved to a small, small town, our Internet access is not like it was in Frankfurt. We "only" have 10 GB/month before we have to pay for more. We usually don't go over the 10 GB, but I think we would very quickly if we watched the Slingbox. But I personally hold that thing responsible for introducing my husband to Swamp People.
