What do I wear to PT?

I forgot to ask on the phone today, but I did end up with a script for PT for my lower back.  I checked the website, but can't find any info.  I am thinking workout-ish clothes, yoga pants, ect, but I don't want to appear sloppy if I should just wear regular clothes!

Re: What do I wear to PT?

  • The requirements for my PT's office were athletic-type apparel for anything below the neck, anything shorter than capris for ankle injuries, and workout shorts for knee stuff.

  • I wore yoga pants and a t shirt.  It's definitely a workout!

  • It totally depends on what they have you do.  For my back my first couple of appoints very rarely involve going into the gym, and usually just involve ultrasound, stretching, and heat + stim.

I tend to just wear loose fitting jeans, but I've been seeing my PT off and on for ages and know what to expect.  Probably for your first appointment you'll want to at least bring a pair of yoga pants or similar to change into.
  • I usually wear yoga pants or shorts depending on the weather and a tshirt or fleece top.
  • I always wore yoga pants and a t-shirt/tank and hoodie for my knee.  They might have you work out, and either way exercise stuff is easier to get out of the way for the stim.
