Weekend plans?

So, what do you all have coming up this weekend?

Normal one for me...  Tonight I'm taking my horse out.  Tomorrow up early to do barn work and go for a run then playing D&D with some friends at night.  Sunday morning "Yoga and Yogurt" with my sister (we do a 9:30 yoga class then go get greek yogurt at this little diner near my apartment).  Hopefully getting the horse out again on Sunday.  I have no idea what the weather is supposed to be like.

DH and I have been talking about doing some rare book hunting at a few places near us so we might try to get that in on Saturday morning.  Someday we WILL find a first edition HP Lovecraft that someone hasn't already picked over.  It'll happen.  Mark my words.

Re: Weekend plans?

  • Morning fein! I haven't had an opportunity to mention that I talked to my brother last week - apparently he was not in town two week ago and my mother heard wrong. He is here now until Sunday and said he'd call to make plans this weekend, so I might be seeing him.

Other than that, I think we have to work on a lot of wedding mess - I'm starting to get stressed out about the pieces and we still don't have a ceremony location. I'll probably finish up those bookmarks as well and hopefully get some fun stuff in.

  • Nothing special tonight. My little sister might come over again. She had dinner with us last night. She's 16... she and her first serious boyfriend are on the verge of breaking up. They're going through the Ross and Rachel "we'll take a break" thing. Ugh.

Normal stuff on Saturday. Grocery store, cooking, etc.

On Sunday, H, DS, me, my mom and my sister are all going to Ikea. We're only getting a bookshelf for DS and a couple little odds and ends. But my mom is going to test the load capacity of H's truck. They're getting a bed, 2 dressers, a crib/bed for DS at their house, a toddler table, some shelves, a desk, and 2 chairs... someone got their tax return.

  • Where are you taking your horse?  Hope it's a nice restaurant.  (Ba-dum-bump-ba-cha!  I'll be here all day folks, tip your waiters!)

I have no real plans.  BF and I have been dog-ass tired lately.  He fell asleep at 8:00 last night and I wasn't too far behind.  The only certainty is that we'll go to the farmer's market and catch up on the DVR.  I also need to paint the stairs and the trim in the foyer - I did the living room and dining room last weekend.  I'm determined to cross a project off the list every weekend, even if it's something small like changing out a light fixture.

I'm about to start working on an extra project at work (in addition to my regular job), so I'm trying to be as lazy as possible right now.  Last time I went through this drill I went 21 days without a day off.

    This is my siggy.

    I lol'ed for real.

It's kind of awkward because my horse is named Nick.  So if I say, "I'm taking Nick out after work." people assume I'm cheating on DH.  Also, "I'm taking Nick for a ride" gets looks.

I have a lot of reading to do (shocker) and I think we're going to try to do dinner with the couple that we're going on the cruise with so we can all meet and plan our excursions.

  • Laundry, fooking with my blog, cleaning, sending out resumes, hanging out with Mr. Bang and the little dude. My life is not very exciting right now.
  • We're going out for a fish fry tonight...FI is a practicing Catholic during Lent so he has an excuse to go out for fish every Friday.

Tomorrow I have a surprise birthday party to go to.  I may do some cooking/baking on Sunday for the week.

I've been getting the evil eye from FI regarding stuff I have on the kitchen table.  I suppose I should make him happy and clean it up. Blah.

I have to change my address with the post office.  Did you know that they charge you $1 online to change your address?

That's good news about your brother, DL.

Yes, phew. I'm glad some things are looking up! We will miss you Muddled! How long will you be gone??

  • Two glorious weeks!
I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns
  • H's cousin turned 40 yesterday, and we're going to a surprise party for her on Sunday.

That's about it. My life is very exciting!

  • Tomorrow, I'll be taking advantage of my 40% off coupon at Gap. Then, we'll probably grab some lunch.

That's about all that's planned for this weekend.

  • Tonight I think I'm going to try to convince H to go swim laps, then come home and have a quiet night in - make dinner together, watch a movie, and then, you know...!

Tomorrow is going to be SO busy - yoga, then I have to hit the post office to mail my tax stuff, then pick up this specialty tea for stepMIL, then hang up fliers downtown to advertise the new class I'm teaching, then I have my hair appointment (GOING GINGE Y'ALL), then run home, maybe take a quick nap, then out to an early dinner with friends at this Italian restaurant that's getting tons of hype, then going bowling at this semi-swank bowling place.

Sunday I'll hit yoga in the AM then I think we'll go to our storage unit - we need to do some spring cleaning and H wants to fook around with the boat in preparation for boating season! I'd love to get to the beach and let the pup swim, so hopefully there'll be time for that too.
