I love Friday. I treat myself to a latte at Starbucks every Friday, so I really look forward to Friday mornings.
Last night was pretty good. We went out appliance shopping and have probably found what we're getting. We've been bouncing back and forth between wanting to keep the budget really low and not wanting to get crap appliances, so I think we've decided on a low-mid range Samsung suite. The place we went to also has a policy that they will not be undersold (Who's better than Bad Boys?? Nooooooooobody!) so they reduced even the advertised price. My cousin's H gave us a site to check to find the cheapest prices to get price matches, and the prices we got are lower than theirs, so it's certainly a really good deal.
Tonight I'm taking Derek with me to the maternity store to find a dress to wear for my showers. The first one is this weekend! After all my sadness about not getting one both my step-sister and SIL are throwing me showers. I feel like a lucky lady.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to get together with my girlfriends from university, but it's been postponed a few times, so we'll see!
Sunday is the shower my step-sister is holding, so it will be nice to see my family.
What does everyone have on the go for the weekend?
Re: Yaaaaaaay Friday!
Raynes - yay for good deals, and I am so excited that you are getting a shower. If I lived closer, I so would have thrown you one. Heck I know our Nestie family would have.
My night was uneventful. My BFF and his partner stopped by unexpectedly, which was a nice tree. So I visited with them for a little bit, while the boys raised heck in their cribs. (It was after their bedtime that they visited).
Tonight DH is off of work, and I am looking forward to it. I haven't really seen him in a few days.
Also today is a great day because it is bonus day at work, and instead of spending it on me, I took it and paid off the the last 2 credit cards we had. I am stoked because we are officially credit card debt free. Now, I can put extra on our cars and his student loans. I am really trying hard to get us in a better place financially. Him not working while he finished school, put us back a little financially so it's nice to finally feel great where we are at.
No plans this weekend besides getting the boys some well overdue haircuts.
Have a great day and weekend ladies!
The printer at work is finally fixed so now I really have to get my butt in gear today and get busy. I am hoping to at least get half way caught up today.
Tonight DH's parents are suppose to come over and have pizza and cake to celebrate DH's bday which was yesterday. I am dreading it. My MIL drives me nuts and DH and I haven't been getting along the last two days. We haven't spoken since yesterday about lunch so I am dreading having to smile and pretend everything if hunky dorry in front of his parents.
Tomorrow Jordan has a soccer game. Thankfully DH has to work all weekend so hopefully we can get over this mad spell we are both in. I plan on going to the house and working a little bit after the game. I would love to take Jordan to see the Lorax. MIL said something about getting the boys saturday night and since Jordan doesn't want to go thats sorta my plan. Dependng on if Preston actually wants to go or not.
Sunday I hope to go back to the house. My BFF wants to come Sunday and help and see the house so I am excited about that.
I am thinking I will stop and get a bottle of wine on the way home this afternoon. I think I need after the week I have had.
Raynes, have fun at your shower!
Morning. Last night was fun--we did our critiques in class, and I have to turn in my story next week. Eek! But I'm looking forward to the comments.
Tonight will be pretty low key--gym, packing for Josh, doing some homework for me. Josh leaves tomorrow, so I'm on my own until Thursday. I plan on really trying to get some of the writing I've let lag (including my short story for class). I also have to do a long run between 10 - 13 miles. Nothing too exciting, but I am looking forward to sleeping in.
Have a great one, all!
Have fun at your shower, raynes! So glad you ended up having one.
DH gets home today after two weeks away, so I can't wait to see him. We're also signing our lease, which will be great to get that settled.
We're off to Bordeaux tomorrow morning! We're also taking Monday off, so get a nice long weekend out of it.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
I love Friday! It's like the light at the end of the tunnel.
We don't have much planned for this weekend other than the normal errand running. I have a few things that I want to pick up for our trip next week. I am so excited to be getting away for awhile.

Good morning!
I'm leaving early tommorow for Nashville. I've never been. It's going to be fun. My parents and DH are going up to see the Red Wings play. It was a tradition for my family to see the Wings when they came to Atlanta but since we no longer have a hockey team we are taking a mini road trip.
Reba, I agree about Fridays, and this week has really dragged, so it's nice to have the weekend almost here.
Katz, congrats on being CC debt free. That's awesome!
Raynes, have fun at the shower.
This weekend is going to be a busy one, but should be good nonetheless. Tomorrow, B and I are hitting up one final furniture store and making a decision on cribs and baby furniture. Then I'm meeting a friend at the spa for a pedi and some other grooming. Then it's off to dinner with some other friends.
Sunday, I'm going to come into the office to clean up. My office is a disaster, and I can't stomach the idea of going on vacation soon and coming back to a messy desk. It shouldn't take me more than a few hours to get through it.
Hope everyone has a great day and weekend!
Good Morning,
So glad you are getting a shower raynes! That should be really fun.
I am so glad it is Friday, I am exhausted. I work night shift tonight for my new job but, it should be fairly low key and once I get everything done I get to sleep. I think I am more looking forward to Sunday and Monday which have become my weekend.
DH and I got into an argument last night and I am still a wee bit frustrated about it. I feel like I am doing my best to fill his needs but he is not taking care of filling mine. I am sure sometime during the next few days we will talk it over. I am only going to be home for two hours today between jobs. I am looking forward to this phase being over and getting to go back to being a one job person. That said, I am really glad to have this opportunity and be in a place where I don't have to worry about our financial situation.
Raynes - Have fun at your shower this weekend. I expect a post with PIP of all the cute stuff you get.
Katz - Yay for being free of CC debt!
Crystal - ::Hugs:: hope everyting goes ok tonight with your MIL and DH.
Happy Friday! Today I'm working until noon then I'm going to hit up Michaels and get some supplies for a new wreath for our front door.
Tonight and tomorrow we are puppy sitting for my IL's. I'm a little nervous to see how Bailey reacts to a puppy, I know she's going to be super pissed. J has to work tomorrow so I going to take the puppy to the park and enjoy some sunshine.
Sunday we're going to go to go to Home Depot and Lowes and price some tile for our entry way and price some material for the deck or patio we want to build this summer. Have a great weekend ladies!
I'm stuck at work extra late tonight to hopefully make tomorrow much easier. Then tomorrow is a full work day. Sunday will be a bridal show with my BFF, and hopefully catching up on some sleep in there.
Last night I was in bed around 830. DH kicked me in there, because I just couldn't get off the couch, as tired as I was. Never sit down and then you won't have to worry about getting up I suppose.
Off to run around campus some more. Wheeeee!
Good morning!
I'm a bit sad that it's Friday since this means my vacation week is over. I still have the weekend but have to go back on Monday. After that I have 6 full weeks of work left (as long as baby stays put)...yes, I plan on working past my due date.
Right now I'm waiting for the Molly Maid ladies to show up. Yay! When DH's aunt moved out, they really didn't do a good job of cleaning up at all and as much as we've tried, I can't keep up and really want a deep clean done on our floors and bathroom so I'm using my Christmas money from my Dad to have cleaners come in and take care of it. It's actually been really good because it's made me nest and organize and declutter. I am so ridiculously excited to have a really clean house. It makes me so happy.
I currently have the cats baracaded in my bedroom so that they are safe and they just won't clean that room.
Otherwise today I am going to do more errands and running around after they leave.
Tomorrow night we are going over to my aunt's house for dinner. She couldn't make it to my shower because of work so she wanted to have my entire immediate family over for dinner. I'm looking forward to it.
Sunday I think I will relax and enjoy my last day of vacation.
raynes - have fun at the shower!
Good morning, Happy Friday!
I am finally feeling back to my old self today so I'm in a super good mood. I plan on going and buying some shoes today, I've been putting it off for a while. My old laces weren't so white anymore so I took them out of my shoes and washed my shoes and then the laces wouldn't go back in so I had to use hair elastics as a quick fix for laces. It's time to call the fashion police, cause I'm sure that's something a 12 year old would find fashionable, not a 25 year old mom. I want to go to the thrift store and see if I can find myself a couple items to refashion for spring. I found a great tut. for turning a mens dress shirt into a spring dress. I need more dresses, mine are all wearing thin and you can see through a couple of them
Then I think if I can find some cutesy fabric, I'm going to make a skirt and a few tutu skirts for my nieces. Sometimes I wish I had girls, Russ isn't going to be too happy with me if I make skirts for the boys, lol.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Nothing planned this weekend, so I will probably just sleep in and get some reading and errands done.
BFP 5/2/11, missed m/c, D&C 6/13/11

Thanks for asking!
He's doing better. He would not get up at all that day and after DH got home, I ended up picking him up and putting him on the floor, farther away from the couch in an attempt to get him to either eat or go in his litter. After standing there for a bit, he went in the litter and ate later. He was still pretty sluggish all night but the next morning was back to normal.
This morning was one of his extra needy mornings. As soon as I woke up he was on my belly on the couch. lol. And he just kept following me all morning. If I got up off the couch to put a glass away, he was right there. I was trying to straighten before the cleaners and he was on top of me the entire time.
Currently, we are all in the bedroom while the Molly Maids are cleaning the house. I feel so spoiled! Winston is under the comfortor AND sheets on my bed and Jersey is under the bed. They just turned on the vacuum and he think he might jump out of his skin. I keep trying to reassure him that I'm still here with him. Poor guy...they HATE the vacuum, swiffer, any of that.
Good to hear!
Cats are so weird sometimes. Chloe (the little one) has been sneak attacking Meka (the big one) a lot lately. I find it quite hilarious. Hopefully it's just him finally picking up on the whole pregnancy thing and he settles soon.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
