MOUSE!
Kitty found a mouse tonight. It was behind the couch and she caught it and it ran behind the bookcase. Kitty proceeded to stalk the bookcase and finally it came out. Hubs captured it in a pizza box but kitty didn't want to give it over.
Scared the BEJEEZUS outta me. DH kept making fun of me 
That's like the 3rd mouse in a few months. DIS-LIKE.

EEEK! is right!
It was the fall of '10 when we first moved in I was online watching Criminal Minds and saw movement out the corner of my eye - a mouse was running acorss the kitchen floor & under the stove. I almost had a heart attack.
They do tend to find their way into the garage but luckily ours is detached. We also have traps in there just in case.
Go kitty!
We have had mice in our attic from time to time, and DH had set traps for them and sometimes would catch them. Their biggest problem is when they fall/go down the steps because there's no way for them to get back up and usually we hear a faint scratching sound (which happened a couple years ago) when they're trying to get back up. Fortunately we haven't had any lately (knock on wood) but there's so much crap in the attic it's hard to know for sure.

It's funny that you are posting this, because I got a call from the tenant for my rental property this morning that she saw a mouse. And one of my FB friends put up a posting that she has them too. Is it mice season or something?
It was fun to spend my morning trying to find an exterminator to come into my rental unit today

I remember running after a mouse I saw in an old apartment of mine when I lived in Providence (the mice showed up after I had to give away my cat). I cornered it with a plunger and a plate and took it outside and tossed it into the street. Last saw it running madly toward Boston.
