Condo vs apartment? help us please!!
my fiance and I are moving out this july/august...we are torn because we are not sure which investment would be better, a condo or an apartment? the condo we are looking at is around 60k, and the apartment is a 2 bedroom for 670 a month...what other bills and facts are there to consider? we are not sure which would be the best investment to make. more details...we are planning on staying in the same home 3-5yrs, i am in graduate school, and we are getting married april 2013.
thank you for any and all advice! we have no clue what we are doing when comparing these two options.

Crunch the numbers
A condo will have an HOA fee as well as buying and selling costs but a lower monthly mortgage than the rent.
Do you have a good downpayment? An emergency fund to deal with the unexpected as a homeowner?
The listed price of a condo represents a small fraction of the cost to live there. The HOA fees alone on our condo are $600/month, plus there's another $100/month in property taxes. We are very glad to be renting it, and very glad we don't own it. There was a similar unit for sale up the hall for $80K, but we decided we were better off continuing to rent for $900/month.
After 31 cycles and two losses, we've been blessed with a healthy baby girl!
Congrats to both of my amazing TTC Buddies, tdmd09 and sb2006!!

Condo would be nice for you guys, I know that it will be little expensive for you but you cannot deny the awesome features of a condo.

Buying a condo is more like buying an apartment. While condo is more expensive than an apartment; nevertheless, people are showing their interest for buying a condo instead of an apartment because the future value of a condo would be higher than an apartment and they can readily earn huge profit as well after selling their condo.

It's all depend on your budget. If you have sufficient money so, I will suggest you to go for condos. But if still you are confused then you can contact any person who are in real estate business.

In my opinion condos is much better than apartment. This is because if you have condos so you can change the structure of it according to your need but not in apartment. The second thing is that the resale price of condos is more than apartment.
