I did something BIG for myself yesterday!

I got a breast reduction and lift! I am so sore today, but so glad I did it. It feels like the first time in a long time I've done something just for myself. It's something stbx never "allowed" me to do and I finally just did it. I feel so relieved as they've been hampering my ability to workout, run, etc. Plus, I've felt chubby even in my best of shape time because they've been so big and saggy.

I see this as the first step to doing things my way for a while!

  • That's awesome!!! I've always considered getting an augmentation but it totally scares me. Like what if it doesn't heal right!?!? I freak myself out thinking about it lol
  • I'm so jealous! I want a lift soooo bad. Good for you!
  • Congratulations, and happy healing!

So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

  • Congratulations!

I have thought about getting a reduction as well, but have decided to wait until after I have children (fingers crossed that having children actually happens for me).

How long is the recovery? If you don't mind telling, what size did you come from and go to?

  • That's awesome.  One of my BFF's had it done and it changed her life.  Happy healing!

  • That's fantastic! One of my friends had it done a few years ago, too, and she is SO happy now - it made such a difference in her life.  Take care of yourself over the few days, and happy healing. Smile

They say full recovery to where I can get back to activities like CrossFit will be about eight weeks. But I can return to work in a week. I went from a DD to a big B or small C. I'm lucky that I wasn't huge, but I was big enough for them to get in the way of working out and I had constant shoulder and neck pain.

I just got back from the doc for my one day post op check and when she took off my bandages, I was so excited. Of course I look like Frankenboobs now, but they are so small and perky! She said that I had an excellent result and could even get away with wearing tank tops without a bra (not that I would, but I could!).

  • That is great!! Good for you =)

  • Good for you...I am considering one too, but I want to wait until I am done with kids. I am also a DD and it is a pain. I miss my full C.
