Two Food Questions

1. I have ground chicken. What should I make for dinner?

2. Our 2 janitors changed my tire this morning in the freezing cold. One even stopped me in the lunchroom to give me a fatherly speech about driving home slowly on my spare. I'd like to bring them a little thank you treat on Monday. If you were a sweet, country man in your 50s-60s, what would you like? Right now, I'm debating between sausage balls, cinnamon rolls, or some type of cookie (like a recipe for pecan pie cookies that I haven't tried yet), but I'm open to suggestions.

  • 1) http://ellysaysopa.com/2009/03/18/chicken-parmesan-burgers/

    2) I'd make either cinnamon rolls or chewy chocolate chip cookies.  No sausage balls bc it will be hard to keep the temp regulated.

  • These are standard in our house; I use a little less peanut butter than what it calls for. But chili garlic mayo...yum-o! Jay makes me make extra so he can put it on sandwiches.

That was really sweet of them to help you out, especially on a day when you're feeling down to begin with (sorry about your bfn Sad)

I would definitely go with cookies or brownies or something of the sort. That way they could bring some home or share with others if they'd like.

  • Thanks! Chicken parmesan burgers sound perfect! Vanessa, I'll have to save that recipe. We don't have any peanut butter or chili garlic sauce, but thai peanut chicken anything is a hit in my house.

I was thinking sausage balls, because they can eat them for breakfast or take them home, but I do think cookies would be good.
