Friday vent session!

Okay my sister babysits my cousin's baby who is exactly 1 week younger than Lucas. Today she forgot to send diapers. I only sent Lucas 7 BC thats plenty but now he has to share. This isnt the first time...she forgot his milk last time. It truly pisses me off BC I am not your Childs mother and I shouldnt have to provide for him...I didnt have twins. Also, spring break is here after 3 o'clock and its 45 out and rainy! Wtf happened to our nice 80 degree weather.

Re: Friday vent session!

  • I have a doctor's appointment in an hour to discuss my anxiety issues and I'm freaking terrified to admit how bad it's gotten.
  • I had my first student suspended yesterday and it's tearing me apart because of the way this child has affected others and their families' view of our school. I'm so disappointed.

Im also upset over a special Ed situation but I dont really want to think about it or I'm going to start crying again.

Im also upset at DH. It has been a horrible week.

  • I worked my butt off this week (went from exercising mayyyybe once a week to exercising at least 4 times a week) and only went over 1500 calories on one day, yet I managed to gain almost 2 pounds since last week.  I understand the scale fluctuates all the time, it just pisses me off that it was up that much on weigh in day for Crystal's Biggest Loser Challenge group!!

I just had a big long vent written about my doctor's office, but I won't make you all read it so yeh...my doctor's office sucks at communicating. :)

I'm worried my thyroid isn't working how it should again and I realllllly do not want to go back on medication.

One of my coworkers is going on vacation for 3 weeks and she keeps giving me projects to work on.  I told her I didn't mind helping her last week, but I feel like she's taking advantage of me now.  During a meeting we had Tuesday she even said, "I'll be gone for the rest of the month but I'll give Sarah ____...she doesn't know she's doing it yet, but I guess she does now!"  Lady, you're not my boss and while I said I don't mind helping you, I don't appreciate you giving me 3 projects at once AND blindsiding me with one of them during a meeting!

  • I'm so sick of doing everything around the house.  I cook dinner every single night and do the dishes.  Last night we ate a little late so I was giving Parker a bath and getting him ready for bed instead of doing dishes.  Rusty decided that he would.  I was so thankful until I went downstairs.  He only did the dishes that were within reach from the sink.  Everything else was left.  Plus he didn't rinse out the sink when he was done and the food was stuck.  I hate how he half-asses things and thinks he deserves an f-in parade.  If I didn't have Parker ot feed I wouldn't be cooking him dinner anymore.

Sorry....that came out more of a b&m not a vent...

  • There are some projects that I'm doing at work that not only and I don't my job, but also the job of another department's on. I'm having fun and learning a lot, but some people think I should be just doing my job and not the other department's job too. It's a good point, and I don't get paid to do both jobs, but I still want to continue doing all the work.

Oh, and February is when my company gives raises. Well guess what? It's March and the raises still haven't been given!

  • It pisses me off that DH's lifestyle hasn't changed much since Mackenzie was born and mine is has been turned right around.

As a teacher, you don't really get to go out for lunch or anything.  Today is a PD day where they get an hour and a half break for lunch so he was going to pick something up and come home and eat with us.  Well, I got a text from him and he's going out for lunch with his buddies instead.  Then he will be going out for a few drinks at the "Wine and Cheese" event that is occurring afterwards.  I know I shouldn't get so annoyed by it, but I am.

So.....I texted my friend and her and I are going out for drinks tonight after he gets home and Kenzie goes to bed.  Again though, I'm annoyed slightly because Kenzie will be sleeping he won't have to "parent" at all.   He'll just play video games downstairs like he probably would have anyway....grrrr...

This drives me INSANE. My DH is the same way! He does do the dishes most of the time, I will give him that, but sometimes he'll do everything, except 2 things left on the counter. Why not just keep going and finish them?! Or the other day he went in late to work because our oven was being delivered, so he put away all of the dishes, except the George Forman grill that had been sitting on the counter for days. UGH!

  • My vents contradict each other.

Yesterday at work, I had a weird vertigo episode. I was dizzy, disoriented, and couldn't stand up. David had to come get me, and my boss was really worried. Today, he is hovering and constantly checking to make sure I am okay. Sweet, but annoying.

My second vent is that while I truly love my job and adore my bosses (I am pretty sure I say that way too much, but it's true), there are days that I just want to shake them and remind them I am a 24 year old girl and while I am highly capable this is a lot of pressure and a really big gosh darn deal. 95% of the time I am grateful that they challenge me and have given me the opportunity to experience real corporate life so my resume will be top notch when I leave, but it's still scary somedays.

  • There is one coworker who is making life at work ridiculous. It's not even just towards me, it's that other coworkers are coming to me for counseling BECAUSE of this other coworker bothering them. It's really frustrating to not be able to do anything other than encourage people to report behavior that's not professional. My job is to be there for staff just as much as the students, but to have this many members coming about the same person is a red flag and administrators are acting like their hands are tied.
