Just found out about this board!
Hi! A fellow Germany-dwelling nestie just let me know that this board exists, so I thought I'd introduce myself. I've been living in Germany since September 2000; I came over as an exchange student and somehow it's nearly 12 years later, and I'm still here. My husband's German and we live with our three-year-old daughter, six-year-old lunatic Basset Hound and almost-done-baking fetus in a small village about an hour south of Frankfurt.
Looking forward to "hanging out" with you all!

Hi and welcome! I'm very new to this board as well
I'm a relocated Roman living in NYC with my French hubby.
Hi and welcome. I'm an American living with my Australian DH in Frankfurt. It's nice to see another fellow in the area Nestie!
Hi and Welcome! I'm an American living in Oslo with two Texan cats.
An hour south of Frankfurt... Isn't that wine country? Wine touring in Germany is way up there on my European travel wish list, but I'm worried about the language barrier.
I think it might be wine country, or very close to ... all I know right now is that it's the land of a dialect I have a very hard time understanding. I lived in Frankfurt for the last 10 years and just moved here before Christmas. BUT, you should visit here ... most Germans do speak some English, and they try even when they can't. They're friendlier than their reputation ... sometimes.
Welcome!
I'm Canadian living in France with my French/Canadian husband and 3.5 year old son.

Thanks for telling me about this board!
Hi and welcome!
I live in the US but am from the Netherlands and came to the US on a college exchange program @ 17....I am still here almost 22 years later. I am on my second marriage though. DH and I have a 21 month old DD. I have 2 SD who live on the East coast and we are raising DH's 2 nieces.
You can ask away! I'm kinda jealous, even though now we're only about an hour away and still visit there a lot. I've never lived in one city as long as I did in Frankfurt in my life.
Welcome! This board is very helpful for the short time I've been posting.
I'm American, living in Philadelphia, but will be moving to S. Africa for one year in the next few months.
