I am in charge of planning our annual girls trip and we chose Scottsdale this year. The trip will be in October, it would be great if we could all stay in one room (like in a casita) and it mush have a pool, bar and spa.
Thanks so much!
Re: Scottsdale resort recs?
I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Resort and spa in Gainey ranch last October and it was amazing. It was one of the prettiest places I have ever stayed. It has a fantastic pool area that is separated into kid friendly and adult. The onsite restaurants were also pretty good. Every night they had live music while I was there all different types of music. The weather was perfect and the open air lobby was stunning.
They were out of regular rooms when I stayed so gave me a Casita. I had my own private hot tub, my own private lagoon to look out over. It was fabulous. It would be a perfect place for a girls trip. You also got your own keys and doors so it was very private and separate from the rest of the hotel guests.
The hotel also has a free shuttle that can take you downtown and you could easily get a cab back.
That place looks amazing!!! Thank you!
My favorite resort in Scottsdale is the Westin Kierland. They do not have casitas, but they do have villas. The villas are larger hotel rooms that have kitchens and a nice laundry area. The Kierland is on a golf course, has a spa (Agave), and the BEST mojito bar (Deseo). The spa and the restaurants are at the main hotel (the villas are a separate area), but there is an on demand shuttle that takes you back and forth,as well as to the Kierland shopping center, which has higher end stores. The shopping area also has a Cheesecake Factory, PF Changs, Tommy Bahama, and other smaller restaurants (North, Zinc). I also like the Phoenician, but it's a bit more expensive. They have an excellent spa and some fantastic restaurants. It's about 1-2 miles from the Scottsdale Fashion Square, which is a HUGE mall.
Hope that helps!
Our wedding on Wilson Island!
We were at Four Seasons Troon North last year and I agree that it was lovely (and the spa was very nice). It depends on what you want out of your girls trip. Four Seasons, in general, are smaller and more exclusive properties so they tend to be quieter. We loved hanging out on the lobby balcony in the evenings. The bar service and food were great (all of the food was very good, as was the service). I felt like the spa was reasonable for a resort.
