Uh, oh...got free tickets to the boat show.

Temptation, temptation!! We were SO close to buying a boat when we left Charleston. I'm really tempted to go ahead and buy one here since we're hoping to go to Keesler, MS or Florida next.

We do not need a boat. We do not need a boat. We do not need a boat.

  • Boat shoes!!!!!!!!!

What kind of boat were you looking into? We have a Boston Whaler.

  • How much longer do you have in TN then?  Keesler is in Biloxi huh?  You'd be so close to home!  haha
  • Don't do it! I loved being on the water but its such a relief not having it any more. Especially since gas on the water will be $5 this summer!

  • Boat = BUST OUT ANOTHER THOUSAND - this couldn't be more true. We spent $4,000 on repairs last summer, our first summer with the damn thing. But, it is fun! When it's running!

So so so so true... That and "Two happiest days of a boat owners life are they day they buy a boat and the day they sell it".

We sold our boat and about 3 hrs late the transmission blew on the new owners. Sorry sold as is. The real killer is b/c of our v-drives you have to take out the whole engine to get to the transmission. That alone will cost you $1,500.

  • Wow, thanks girls. You really made me second (and triple and fourth) guess it!

Shmooz - we wouldn't get anything nearly as nice as a Whaler. We were looking at a smaller Sea Ray in Chas. We'd probably get something similar since we're probably looking at rivers next too. I guess in Florida we'd be ocean-ing it up though, so who knows.

NOLA - the countdown is majorly under way. We pick where we go next in October (well, we turn in picks) and then we're moving sometime between the next August & October...so a year and a half give or take. My boss is starting to freak a little.

  • I should have specified - it's a 13ft 1968 whaler sport. No oceans for us - lakes and rivers only. It's old and small but gets us on the water!
