how far should I run tomorrow?

I've got an 8 miler scheduled as part of my training for this 10K in April.  But I also have a 13.1 next weekend and haven't done a double digit run since February 19th.  It's also supposed to be rainy and cold and possibly thunderstormy.

Run 8, run 10, or say screw it all and stay in bed under the covers?

Re: how far should I run tomorrow?

  • Start out shooting for 8 but do the 10 if you are feeling good. It might be a rude awakening next week if you haven't done a long run in almost a month so i would give it my best effort.

  • I say do 10. It will make the 13.1 next weekend feel more approachable. I'm trying to convince myself to "suck it up, buttercup" & do 10 tomorrow, and it's supposed to be 38 and raining. Wheee! :-)
  • fine you meanies, I'll do 10 Smile

plus, that's two extra miles of calories I can eat in birthday cake to celebrate hub's birthday tomorrow!

I chickened out on my run today because it was cold, raining and still dark.

I can do cold and dark.

I can do raining and dark.

I cannot do all three. :)  I'll make it up tomorrow.

  • I would do 10 as long as it's not thundering or lightning.

I always like to get a 10 miler in the weekend before a half, but that's just me.

  • I woke up with a fever so I didn't do any :/  I guess I got hit with some little bug as I've been awake only about four hours today

DH and I skipped our 10K this morning because it was cold and rainy and we heard thunder when we got up!  Embarrassed

HAVE to run tomorrow - rain or not!
