Anyone use Galloway to complete race?

So yeah, I am not going to be able to complete RNR USA by running. The first tri killed my running. I know I can finish it, but I will have to do a substantial amount of walking. I have done a 3 min run/1 min walk when I was exhausted at the end of a race before, but I don't think I need to start there. Any interval suggestions?

  • My running group uses the run/walk method. I usually do 3 min running, 1 minute walking, and sometimes I up the running to 4 minutes. I have also heard of people having success doing 2 run/2 walk. Good luck!

  • I like 7 min run, 1 min walk... Then if I'm exhausted at the end I will do. 4 or 5 minute run.

  • I have a friend who has a heart issue and can't elevate her HR too high, and she's also a runner. She swears by JG running. She's even MET him and run with him. She usually does 5 on, 1 off. She also wears a HRM and alters to 3/2 if her HR gets too high. She's a half fanatic/maniac/etc.

  • I used a 1/1 for my half.  I know people give it the side-eye, but I was running for fun.  DH did an 8/1.
