Planned eating & exercise for today

I never see these posts on the weekend, but need the most help staying on track when I'm not at work. :-)

B - coffee w/milk, oatmeal with sliced fruit + peanut butter & chia seeds

L - chicken with pasta dish, veggies with yogurt dip

E - long run (aiming for 10 miles. the weather is supposed to suck)

S - trail mix or a protein smoothie

D - TBD. We may make steak with mushrooms + a salad or something. ETA - I forgot the wine. There will definitely be wine involved. :-)

    B: coffee, gatorade, scrambled eggs, apple w/ PB

    E: ~10 mi run

    S: chocolate milk

    L: mac and cheese, turkey dogs

    D: salad and either shrimp fried 'rice' (w/ quinoa) or a shrimp, broccoli, almond stir fry thingy. 

    and there will probably be some wine too.

    B: Everything bagel, mini babybel, mango slices, coffee w/ cream

    L: Leftover ww homemade pizza, roasted asparagus

    D: Parmesan crusted chicken with lemon white wine sauce, orzo, broccoli and wine

    S: PB w/ banana, maybe some homemade oatmeal scotchies (I'm in the mood to bake today) 

    E: 60 minutes step aerobics video 

  • B: Kashi heart to heart w/ 1% milk; coffee w/ milk and sugar

    E: Debating whether to go to yoga class or do a podcast at home.  I think the podcast is going to win today, I have a ton of errands to run.

    L: Black bean lentil soup; half a turkey and cheese on 7 grain; maybe baby carrots and hummus

    S: We're going to an engagement party from 4-7 (such a weird time for a Saturday, right?) and I'm assuming there will be munchies there; probably a cocktail or beer

    D: Undetermined, I'm going to the grocery store today so I might get the stuff to make a favorite pizza: butternut squash, spinach, carmelized onion and goat cheese on ww crust 

  • B - coffee w/natural creamer, whole wheat waffle with 1tbsp chunky PB and 1tsp orange blossom honey

    L - not sure yet, possibly leftover indian food I made

    S - trail mix or a mixed fruit smoothie

    D - TBD, I have errands to run this afternoon, so we'll see.

    E - Gym rat day: 45mins of HIIT on stairclimber, might hop on the treadmill for a bit so I don't lose my running endurance, and about 30mins weight training.

    L: NO fscking clue, whatever my stomach tells me I can eat in about an hour from now

    D: Grilled lean hamburger on ww kaiser bun w/ tomato and romaine and A1, probably with a side of homemade sweet potato fries and some sort of other veggie

  • I'm taking a rest day, but since it is just me, a 5year old, a 3 year old, and a newborn, no resting is involved ;)

    B: banana w/ peanut butter, carrot quinoa muffin

    L: minestrone soup, crackers and pepper jack cheese

    D: chicken fajitas from California Tortilla (no tortillas or rice)

    Snacks: I've been so hungry the last few days, and today is no exception. I've already had a pear, a kind bar, popcorn, and a couple girl scout cookies. I'll count it as fuel for tomorrows long run :)

  • Pilates and hot yoga classes this morning. Later 20 mins HIIT elliptical

    E:  4 mile run

    L:  Italian hoagie and baked chips.  I devoured all of it and now want a nap!

    D:  40th birthday party at local sports bar.  Thinking steak, potatoe and veggie.  Plus some beer and cake. 

  • Today is bad. I had a special event (that I'll post more on later), and we were on the go all ady:

    B: Mcdonalds Bagel w/egg and cheese, McD's Oatmeal, small OJ

    S1: vanilla yogurt, 100 calorie Clif Bar

    L: Munching on a bit of everything: cheese sandwich on deli wheat bread w/mustard, 2 kinds of potato chips (only 3-5 each), homemade pasta salad w/veggies, 1 chocolate chip cookie, small chocolate chip cookie bar, and a small brownie w/chocolate chips, several Diet Cokes

    D: No clue, but I'm not cooking

    S2: the last Valentine's caramel

    E: horse competition; lots of barn work

    L: Pizza made from Pillsbury premade dough, homemade marinara, broccoli, a little bit of cheese, and homemade turkey meatballs

    S: Cashews did not happen. Napped instead.

    E2: 90 pushups and 90 situps. Forgot about those pesky things when I was typing this up this morning after my run.

    D: Grilled lean hamburger on nothing because my carbs are already stupid high today w/ tomato, romaine, and caramelized onions, with a side of steamed broccoli

    And about 100 glasses of water

    Question for you - do you get hungry after your long runs? I did 10 miles today as well, & wasn't very hungry after. I ate a normal dinner (finished my run around 1:30), but didn't have either snacks I planned, etc. Now, tomorrow, I know I'll be ravenous. Like, crazy hungry.

  • Honestly it depends. Today I was not hungry. Last weekend I was hungry but nothing really "appealed", if you know what I mean. That's one of the reasons why I have a showerbeer after I run, just to get some calories in me in case I have a fit about not wanting to ingest anything for hours.
