I just need to vent to people who understand.
My hip gave me trouble maybe 5 years ago - no fracture; I had X-rays. I had amazing PT and laid off running, and I've been fine since...until I started training for this half mary. The pain wakes me up, and walking for the couple days following a long run is painful. My race is 4/28. I'm afraid to rest and set myself back, but I'm afraid to keep running and really injure myself. I'm going to the doctor on Monday. Thinking I'll skip this weekend's 9 miler until I see the doc. Woe is me.

Wait. I wish I had listened to my hip. Instead I got all stupid about it and ended up not running for almost 6 weeks. NOT FUN.
I hope you feel better soon!
Yes,I'm smiling...I'm a marathoner!

I'm running my first half on April 1, but now my knee is giving me problems
I was looking to maybe postpone to the 4/28 half in Chicago.
Good luck! Let's hope we can not injure ourselves further!
