I am stimulating the Spanish economy
Between my Ryan Air disaster in Seville last week that caused me to buy 2 tickets on Vueling the same day at an exorbitant same-day-price and the hotel room I just reserved for San Fermin in July (Running of the Bulls), I think I need to revisit my travel budget for the year.
But yaaaaaay, I have a hotel for the Running of the Bulls! I must have called every place in Pamplona this week and they were all booked solid. One just had a cancellation today and now the room is mine!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, we need it!
Gosh, the pessimism here is killing me.
Save some money to spend while you're here
Prepare for some buena comida!
Fear not, eating is at the top of the list. I'm off to Madrid next weekend, too. I already told my cousin that the one thing I really want to do is eat an "arroz negro" at a particular place in town that's amazing.
I still can't do motor oil rice or motor oil covered squid
I eat it if MIL makes it, but my guiriblock comes on and I have issues.
Enjoy Madrid! We're headed to La Rioja Alavesa to drink some wine.
Chronically hilarious - you'll split your stitches!
I wrote a book! Bucket list CHECK!

hahahahahha (or should I say jajajajajaja)! I've never heard this word before, but it's great!
Tripe. Pig's ear. Anything in squid ink. You know, those things that Spanish DH just looooves!
I agree with you on most of those things, but I actually enjoy calamari in their own ink. Weird, but good!
Have fun stimulating the economy Anna! Sounds like you'll be busy visiting family, but if you'd like to meet up at some point just send a PM my way.
