Atlantic City Hotels - Ballys vs Resorts?
We're heading up there for my DH's 30th birthday with a group of friends. Several of us won't be doing that much gambling so I'd like to stay at a hotel's affordable but has decent rooms. Anyone have some input on either Bally's or Resorts? We've also considered the Tropicana but I haven't heard great things...all I want is a clean room that doesn't seem skeevy!
Re: Atlantic City Hotels - Ballys vs Resorts?
I honestly wouldn't choose either. Resorts is pretty old and Bally's Park Place really doesn't have much to do other than gambling.
Tropicana is nice if you stay in the newer tower rooms. The old tower is old and shabby looking.
Caesars is a great spot for those who will not gamble much. They have access to the pier and they are the closest casino to the outlets. Also, they are connected to Bally's PP and Bally's WW West casino.
I live right outside AC so feel free to pm me if you have any questions
most of the boardwalk hotels are totally skeevy. We stayed at Resorts last summer and our room was clean but dated. The bathroom screamed 1972- blue bathtub and all. Granted, it was comped, but since then, I have paid to stay at Bally's and it wasn't much better.
The Courtyard Marriott behind the boards is new and shiny and clean. Caesers is better.
