I know typically its not smart to date someone from work. Things can get awkward if the relationship doesn't work out. However, I work for a company that employs 2500+ people. Aside from the other administrative people on my floor, I have to go out of my way usually to interact with anyone else.
There is a guy at work (not in the admin office) that I started talking to a couple weeks ago after we met while getting coffee one day. He seems really nice and I think we could have a lot of fun if we went out.
Would you give it a shot?

Re: Potential date question
I would - especially if you're not going to see him on a day to day basis if things go sour.
I've dated someone in the workplace before, and while it was awkward for the first few days after the split, it was fine after that.
