I just started putting it together today once I realized it's a month away and I have a lot going on the week before, not a lot of time to prep the day before, most I can make during the week which is nice.
So here's what I came up with so far. I'm hosting 15-20 people (not sure, one family may be out of town).
Appetizers
veggies/cheese/olives platter with crackers
hummus/pita
jumbo shrimps/sauce
Dinner (keep in mind we are Lebanese so some dishes are a given for us)
Honey baked ham
chicken/rice/chickpeas/slivered almonds/onion dish
grapeleaves
spinach pies
eggplant/zucchini/onion bake
yogurt/cucumber/mint salad
more hummus and pita bread (we typically do not do dinner rolls)
**I was going to do lamb instead of ham but honestly, I just don't want to add that to my oven/stovetop regime lol. I'd rather buy a nice ham at the honey baked ham store the day before. Is this enough food?
Dessert (I don't bake so this is where I call upon others to bring!)
I'll buy some assorted arabic sweets
my sister in law will bring a carrot cake
I will provide fruit
**is this enough?
Re: repost from Holiday board re:easter menus
I think it sounds like the perfect amount.
The chicken/rice thing sounds really good. Do you have a recipe?
Hi! Welcome ~Gorgeous menu - everything looks beautiful. The Honey Baked Ham should be easy too. Please share recipes...
Thank you~
W.
Glad to hear it all sounds good. I do have recipes, besides the chicken and rice anything else? I need to find it though, it's been a while since I've made the chicken one. The others are done mostly by my mind and family recipes but I can find them somewhere I'm sure.
Hi again! These recipes would be of interest to me - however if you're really busy can understand not having time to type them all out.
Thank you~
