Heel pain - PF or something else?
Not sure what it is, but about 2 weeks before the Princess Half, my left heel started hurting after a run. I was in agony after the half, but was convinced it was because my shoes were shot and I needed new ones. I bought that pair of shoes (Brooks Ravenna) in September and had probably 350 miles on them, but when I bought new shoes last weekend, the guys at the LRS almost laughed at me because the old ones were so bad

Anyway, I haven't run since the half on 2/26, so almost 2 weeks now. The heel pain lasted about 5 or 6 days, then got better. I did a few miles today in my new shoes (on the TM, a little more cushioned than the road) and now my heel hurts again. It almost feels a little bruised on the part closest to the arch of my foot. Is that PF or something else? Clearly if the pain doesn't subside I'll see my ortho, just curious if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions on how to make that not happen. I signed up for another half in April and don't want to have to take too much time off!

Evan James was born 1/24/13 and matched with us 2/20/13. The LOVE OF MY LIFE!!!
Sounds like PF to me.
Signed, the woman who had plantar fascia release surgery 6 weeks ago.
Did the pain subside? Do you know what the name of the procedure was called? I had a procedure called "Strayer Procedure" done on Monday and so afraid it isn't going to relieve the pain.
