GCB (Good Christian B!tches)
anyone watch?
i'm on the west coast, so it hasn't premiered yet.
just trying to figure out if it's worth watching.
Re: GCB (Good Christian B!tches)
LOL Is this a reality show? This is actually the first I've heard of it... I don't watch anything other than Downton though, so I'm out of the TV loop lately.
lol! no, it's a scripted show on abc about a former queen-B who moves back home to dallas after her divorce and learns that the women from her high school have been holding an 18-year grudge against her. it stars kristin chenowith (sp?)
i think it's intended to replace desperate housewives once that show ends.

Ditto! I didn't even recognize her in the commercials, darn big hair. I'll tune in again next week, and I'll dare to say I like it much more than D.H.
Dup.
I enjoyed it.
The only thing I didn't like was the commercials for another show about some chick and her roommates. The title was something like "The B___ in Apt 23." I guess I'm getting prudie, but I hope there aren't a slew of shows with bad words in the title.

It's based on a book titled Good Christian B!tches, so I think they wanted to stay with that and making it "belles" just didn't have the same "feel" so to speak.
I enjoyed it - I love Annie Potts too. Plus, I moved to TX (but houston, not dallas) a few years ago, so I think I found it funnier than I would have if I had not made the move.
Is this just Desperate Housewives in a different locale?
And even more exaggerated?
I was wondering about the title! I haven't watched it yet but DVRed it in spite of finding the title weird and not understanding what it meant. LOL

wow, you all are too kind, lol!
i thought it was dumb. i think i'll pass going forward.
come on mad men!
more like real housewives of Dallas.
I'm more with you on this, I finally watched it last night and thought it was just meh. I may watch one more episode to give it a chance, but I really didn't think it was worth the hour of my time.
I finally watched this morning and I so agree with this!! It's pretty crazy how much they DON'T look the same age! The main character still looks the same as she did in that high school show on WB or CW? It actually took me a few minutes to accept that those kids were hers as well.
Anyway, I thought this was a cute show and it reminded me of why I started out watching Desperate Housewives... it's not the best drama ever and I realize I could spend that hour doing something better! LOL But I'll watch because there will be some part of the plot or a character that I will want to keep up with. (I won't watch DH now though so.... we'll see!)
Also- where do I know "Kitten" from???
