Aussie Ladies

I found Dr Pepper, A&W Root Beer and Big Red (not sure what that is, personally) at The Reject Shop for $15 per 12 pack, if anyone is interested.  That is the cheapest I have ever seen it here.

Big Red is a red cream soda.  We never really had it in NOLA; Barq's and Big Shot were the preferred local brands.  But I do miss Dr. Pepper.  I had a horrid headache the other day and missed my Excedrin + Dr. Pepper cure.

I wish we had a Reject Shop locally.  The closest one to me is in Cranbourne and I really don't like going to Cranbourne.

I don't mind being held to a higher standard; I mind being held to a lower one. (Sam Seaborn, The West Wing)

  • Thanks for the heads up.  DH is a Dr. Pepper junkie.  When we buy them individually its like $2 or $3 a can.  The best I've seen is 24 cans for $30 ($1.25).

  • Awesome! I actually saw Dr Pepper in Coles a few weeks ago. I can't remember what the price was though.

  • No reject shop here in the Mount. Closest one is in Adelaide. I'm not a Dr. Pepper fan, but my SIL also found some at some small little place in the Adelaide hills, although I don't know how much it was. She bought me a 3.5 oz bag of mini Reese's Peanut Butter cups there for $8.50. OUCH!

  • I guess I'm lucky since we have a shop in town that stocks Dr Pepper, A&W Root Beer, Welch's Grape Soda, Mountain Dew Retro (I think), along with some other different kinds, plus has Reece's and some other American products at a pretty reasonable price.  It's not a place I go regularly but at least I know if I need a fix of something I can get it.

Dorothy-thanks for letting me know what Big Red is!  I also dislike Cranbourne, but that's because we have to pass by on the way to MIL's and by the time we get there it seems like we've been driving forever yet still have forever to go.

  • Amy, can you shop at the store, USA foods. I caved last week and bought some red velvet cupcakes. I was stupid and only bought one package of mix. I should've bought two.

  • I went to the USA Food store a couple times after I first moved here.  It's about an hour drive from me.  I haven't been in ages though, I really should go again!
