I previously was saying how I was nervous from running outside since I've only ever really ran on the treadmill.
I worked myself up so much that I decided to just bit the bullet and do it today. I started small and ran 2.5km. I was able to run a good chunk of it, but did have to stop a few times to walk. My ipod stopped working half way through, which majorly sucked.
I'm pretty happy with myself. And REALLY happy that I still have 6 months before my 5K. I have a lot of work to do.

Me too! I would so much rather be running outside!
I absolutely agree with this. I used to hate running outside, but the more I did it, the more I liked it to the point that I now MUCH prefer running outside, enjoying the weather, than being inside on my treadmill.

I like running outside way better. I think the distance elapsed tracker on the treadmill is mocking me.
