What was the weather like and what did you wear?

Re: The Weekend (long) workout post

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend? 10 mile run

What was the weather like and what did you wear? Oooh, the weather. Sunny, rainy, warm, cold, wind. Everything but snow! About 45 ish degrees.

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout? I would say a 4. I felt really good up until about 9.5, but I think it was because I was almost done and just wanted to be done!

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout? It's funny, I ran at a popular beach. When it's cold no one is there running. But when it gets warm it's the last place I want to be with so many people. The only people out yesterday were those hard core runners! :)

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology? Basketball is boring.

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend? 9ish mile run on Friday. Last long run before Shamrock!!

What was the weather like and what did you wear? Weather was pretty decent. High 30s and mostly cloudy. Don't remember what I wore, though.

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout? 4. Nothing spectacular but pretty decent.

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout? Hills? I usually run on a flat bike path.

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology? Eh. I haven't had the time to follow sports recently.

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend?

    13.25 mile run

What was the weather like and what did you wear?

45 degrees, sunny, strong wind from the south. I wore a LS tech shirt, tank top, LLL Wunder Unders, Nike Hat

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout?

4.5 - I ran it with an 10:36 pace, which is about 45 sec/mile faster than I was running my long runs last year. Also, my last miles in the run were my fastest, which was awesome.

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout?

So many puddles!! I was trying to jump over them our walk slowly though them at first. Then I got soaked anyway, so I started just running through them. I was glad I wore a older pair of shoes because they were so wet at the end.

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology?

    Boring.

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend?

    7 mile run

What was the weather like and what did you wear?

65 degrees and sunny.  Short sleeved tech shirt, visor, and nike tempo shorts

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout?

2.75.  My calves were aching the entire time. I wished I would have worn my compression sleeves

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout?

Tons of other runners, some people putting in new fence, and 3 cop cars surrounding a house

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology?

Bracketology....but really, it's more exciting because regular season baseball is right around the corner!

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend? 10mi run. Last run of training!

What was the weather like and what did you wear? Upper 20s-Low 30s, clear, and calm. I wore Brooks unlined tights, Sugoi zipdown ls shirt, fleece earwrap, gloves, and sunglasses. Gloves were off at mile 2. Earflaps got folded up at mile 5. The sun was WARM!

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout? 5. Just an incredible run. Since I started training, my LSD pace has dropped over a minute per mile and it's still very comfortable. Speed work is your friend, my friends. It's scaring the crap out of me knowing what my pace potential can be for next weekend's race, but I'm enjoying this crazy ride right now.

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout? ROBINS! Spring is here! Boy scout troop out on a bike excursion. And they totally manured the farm near campus, haha.

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology?Boring. But I'll fill out a bracket to appease my friend who sets one up every year.

  • Just ran 8.5! It was lovely out - 40F at the start, 44F at the end, 16 - 20 mph winds, sunny. I'm loving this weather - I would rate today a 5! I wore 3/4 length tights, UA tank and my HC15k wind jacket plus a hat. Nothing too interesting during the run, but a friend joined me for my 2nd loop and that went by way faster than my first 4 miles ;)

And I don't care about March Madness. Basketball is a snooze-fest for me.

  • We did a double partner March Madness themed WOD on Saturday at CrossFit.  I worked with one of the other pregnant women in the class.  Together we had to complete:

    -64 hand release push-ups
    -32 medicine ball burpees
    -16 goblet squats
    -8 pass-throughs
    -4 over the box jumps
    -2 pistol squats
-1 200m sprint carrying an olympic bar together

Then we had to do it again.  If our time was faster the second time, we had to do a medicine ball burpee for each second we were faster.  We were, but pleaded being slow and pregnant to get out of it because we were already last in the class.

Weather was gorgeous for running--mid 60s.  I wore a tank and capris.

    I love bracketology.  Go Tigers!

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend?

-Planned on 12, ended at just under 5

What was the weather like and what did you wear?

-beautiful, first time in months that I started without a long sleeve layer. Just a t and shorts today

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout?

    - 1? Can we use negative numbers? When I started, my calf muscle was tight, but as I kept running, it turned into a horrible, searing pain and I could hardly walk back to my car. Coach/ sport med doc said NO running for a least a week :(

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout?

-Realized that we run past a beautiful nursery, which I had not noticed in 4 months... And had a great brunch with my group afterwards

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology?

    -Boring

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend? - 10 mile run

What was the weather like and what did you wear? - 40, rainy, & windy. I wore: LLL Wunder Unders, l/s dri fit shirt, & my Costco knock off LLL jacket. Should have brought gloves. It took a few hours after my run for my fingers to turn pink again.

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout? - 2.5. The first 3 miles were the most painful of any long run I've ever done. I was miserable. Not sure why, but I legit wanted to turn around & call it a day. I gave myself a big pep talk & kept going. Proud of myself for pushing through, but those first 3 miles felt  terrible.

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout? -  I ran on a popular trail, & there was a St. Patrick's Day half marathon run going on. Saw several guys wearing kilts, & two guys wearing St. Patrick's pajama pants. I just kept thinking of the chafint!

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology? - Boring.

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend? 14.5 mile runWhat was the weather like and what did you wear? 40's and sunny, Short sleeve tech shirt and running pantsOn a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout? 4. Those girl scout cookies yesterday helped! I ran a 35 seconds faster pace than last week, and it felt so much easier. Conclusion: I need to eat more :) Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout? Nope. I was just happy to feel good on a run long again. Yay.Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology? I love it, but I probably won't have time to follow this year. I'm sure I'd make the time if my team was in it though.

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend?  Not really getting any 'long' workouts in anymore.  I managed to run 3.5 miles and walk 1.2 on the treadmill

What was the weather like and what did you wear?  Weather was cold, windy and gloomy outside so it was time for more treadmill loving.  It is supposed to be much nicer in the upcoming days (highs in the 50's and 60's) and since DH is on March Break, I told him we will be going for romantic walks.  For yesterday I wore shorts and a t-shirt.

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout?  I would say a 3.5.  I kept having to take bathroom breaks.

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout?  Nope, my basement is boring.  I watched "Flip this house"

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology?  Boring

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend?  15 miles

What was the weather like and what did you wear?  40/50s, sunny breezy. UA allgear pants, a wicking tee with a thin wicking l/s shirt on top

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout?  4 - i felt great, mh was a mess, so at the end i kept losing him, then id stop and wait for him, lose him again, etc.

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout? a car with a giant, fuzzy, cotton candy pink mustache on the grill

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology? it's one of the few sports i have the patience for, but i dont actually take the time to watch it.

  • 6mi, trying to get back in the groove after being sick. It was about 65, I wore capris and a tech tee. I'd say its 2.5 I still don't feel 100% but I managed it. Nothing interesting today. Mm is boring.

  • I was supposed to do 9 yesterday - the weather was mid-60s and sunny with a nice breeze.

Instead, thanks to my hip, I just lifted my upper body. Today I took a walk and will do Zumba with my mom tonight.

Hoping my doctor appt tomorrow will get me back on the road!

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend? Horse competition yesterday, 23 mile mtb ride today.

What was the weather like and what did you wear? Yesterday: 60 and sunny, breeches, tall boots, boot socks, tshirt, barn logo polo shirt, black gloves. Today: 50 degrees and breezy. It won't get to the predicted 65. Long sleeve base layer, short sleeve jersey, arm warmers, wind vest, Defeet socks, knee warmers, cycling shorts, cycling shoes, helmet.

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout? Yesterday: 5+!! Today: 3 Fun ride but perfectly average.

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout? Today: No, but a teammate made peanut butter chocolate chip balls for our after ride snack. Yum!

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology? I hate basketball.

  • What was your (long) workout this weekend?   12 mile run with DH this morning

What was the weather like and what did you wear?  Rainy and cool (about 50 degrees). It was just a little drizzly when we started.  I wore compression capris, a short-sleeve top, a long-sleeve top, sports bra, socks, Brooks Glycerin 8's and a baseball cap.  We were doing an out-and-back twice to get in our miles, when we stopped at the car after the first out-and-back, I got rid of my long sleeve top and cap.  Big mistake, it started really coming down after that!

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout?  4 for me, poor DH had to stop at 10 because his knee was killing him.

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout?  The trail was pretty quiet due to the weather. I did see a guy running with a wool cap on, the kind with ear flaps.  And he was wearing shorts and a t-shirt.  Weird.

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology? Boring, I'm totally not into sports.

  • Happy DST Ladies! I'm already cursing my "lost" hour of sleep

What was your (long) workout this weekend? ~10 miles.  about 90 mins.  I was going for 100, but whatever.

What was the weather like and what did you wear? sunny, breezy, low 40s.  I wore, tights, ls shirt, gloves.  the gloves came off around mile 3, but I was glad I had them until then.

On a scale from 1-5, 1 being terrible and 5 being ta-da!, how would you rate your workout? 2. the only reason it's not a 1 is because my pace was OK/normal despite feeling like crap.  I felt like I had to puke for most of it.  must have been dehydrated

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout? nothing out of the ordinary

Bonus question: March Madness- boring or bracketology? love the tournament!

Did you see/do anything interesting during the workout? Not really. Someone stopped us and asked for directions and then would not listen to what I was telling her. that was annoying. There were a lot of people walking their dogs.
