I need a cool guy gift idea...

for my brother.  He's turning 28 next week.  He's pretty picky when it comes to clothing - he just lost a ton of weight, so all of the ladies have been coming knocking on his door lately.  I'm sure if I bought him clothes, he wouldn't wear them!

He does enjoy games - any recs?

Or any other "cool" ideas, anyone?

  • Gift pack of a variety of beer???

Baseball tickets if he is a sports fan.

By games, do you mean board games?

  • Maybe a good gift card to someplace he likes to shop but not necessarily clothes.  Um, possibly a gift basket of some sort. lol I'm no help, sorry!

I love going to BevMo to pick up a bunch of different beers for him and DH.  If any of you ladies know beer lovers, it definitely makes a great gift.

And yes, we love playing board games.  We're a highly competitive family and love having game night.

You know, I thought about giving him a Nordstrom gift card.  The problem is he's such a great gift giver.  This year he gave me these burgundy sequined toms ~I'm a huge Wizard of Oz fan and they were so thoughtful.

Ugh, I want to be a good sister too!!!

  • Maybe you could put together a "games night in a bag" for him.  Buy him a new game throw in some beer, munchies, etc - everything he would need to host a games night.

We have had fun playing "The Game of Things" - depending on who you play with it can get hilarious!

My parents bought us for christmas one year these really nice wooden games that a man makes/carves and sells them at a craft show.  We got a super nice crib board.  One of my sister's got Rummoli, and the other got 5 in a row.  You could try to find something like that too.

  • I love Lindsay's idea of the game night in a bag!!!  Other fun ones would be outdoor games for the summer like beanbag toss, bocce, washer, or ladderball.
  • Our current favorite board games are Bananagrams, Balderdash and Bezzerwizzer.

We've also gotten people Shots and Ladders/Checker Shots. Those could be fun paired with beer!

Or, something like this with the beer: http://www.amazon.com/Rate-That-Paper-Sheets-Knock/dp/B004INTNJE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331515891&sr=8-1

  • Another fun game if you have a big group is Wits and Wagers.

  • J bought me this game for Christmas:

We've taken it with us for game nights with friends and everyone loved it. Definitely a big fan! So far-we've only seen it at Target though.

  • Some of these games look totally rad.  I might have to take a trip to Target for a game... and maybe pick up some whipped cream vodka for shots and ladders!

Side note:  if you drink, you haven't lived until you have tried whipped cream vodka!

  • I love playing Cranium Wow with groups... apples to apples is good too.

I like the idea of game in a bag, too... maybe a game basket... or if he has a favorite band or sport, tickets are always a fun gift, too... depends on what your budget is.

Good for him on the weight loss! After I lost all my weight, I really enjoyed shopping so a gift certificate would probably be appreciated, too...

Preach it! Next on my list is the white cake vodka I FINALLY found this weekend.
