Where are your pots and pans?

I currently have my pots and pans in my cupboards but I feel like I should free up my space and maybe hang some of my pots and pans. What do you guys have going on with this?

  • Mine are in the drawer under the oven but I don't care for them there.  They store better hanging (don't chip/bang against each other) but not a fan of the cluttered look.

That's what I was worried about. I don't like the cluttered look either. I also only keep certain appliance out at all times. I just reorganized my cabinets and got rid of a bunch of things that I don't ever use.

  • I keep mine in a pot drawer (its a deeper drawer)

  • All the pots and pans and small appliances are in the cabinet. I don't like the clutter either.

  • I only keep a few out and keep them in one of our smaller cabinet.
  • We have a very small kitchen, live in London, and they hang.  I don't think it looks cluttered, but I have a different POV.

  • Mine are in a cabinet. The cabinet has a shelf in it.

On the top shelf I have a shelf divider. On the bottom of the divider I have the skillets. The top of the shelf I have my sauce pans.

On the bottom of the cabinet I have a slotted organizer. This is where I keep my cookie sheets, lids, pizza pans, and muffin pans. I also have my glass cook ware here, too.

I just bought the organizers probably 6 months ago. I was amazed how that $20 investment helped make my cabinet not look so cluttered and made it a million times easier to access everything without knocking over 10 things at a time.

I've seen nice hanging pots and pans and I've seen cluttered pots and pans. I guess it just friends one person. :)

  • In the cabinets but we want to install a pot rack over our counter peninsula to hang them.
  • Ugh, they're everywhere - H likes cooking and works at BB&B, so we have a ton of pots and pans.

I have one of these for my stainless pots and pans:

One of these for my sheet pans (I found it useless for my pot tops):

My rarely used pans like muffin tins and pie plates are in a "pantry" I built in the basement.

Our ever growing assortment of cast iron cookware I put in the drawer of the oven , and as we get more I'm going to have to move more things into the basement because the cast iron will rust down there.

  • Mine are in the cabinet under the kitchen sink. Our kitchen is small and it's the biggest cabinet we have.

I keep my cleaning supplies in the cabinet above the kitchen sink. The bottles fit nicely up there and they're out of reach for DS.

  • Mine are hanging on a rack and the lids are also hanging on another rack.  It's so much more convienient that way than to have them behind cabinets.
  • They're hanging above the sink. I love our pot rack, and without it we wouldn't have anywhere to put the pots and pans. Plus, since they're above the sink we can just wash them then hang them up to dry.
