Healthy snack ideas for after dinner?

After dinner, I occasionally get a small craving for something sweet. Can you recommend some healthy and low carb sweet treat ideas?

  • I love to freeze green grapes!  Healthy and low calorie snack that is nice and sweet (sweeter than regular non frozen grapes!)
  • I like a cup of instant hot chocolate. It's warm and comforting and relatively low calorie. I use the regular kind but you can get sugar-free for an even better treat.

    I also like a cup of (sweetened) vanilla almond milk. It is sooooo good.

    Another treat is to keep some semi-sweet Nestle chips in the freezer and take out a couple TBSP as a treat for dessert.

  • Sometimes a cups of sweetened tea will do the trick.

    Sometime greek yogurt.

  • Not really low carb, but most nights I like to do fresh fruit mixed into plain yogurt. If I want to up the sweetness I'll add some sweetner, but most times its good as is with the natural sugars from the fruit.

  • I will occasionally buy a box of the orange, cherry, and grape popsicles.  They are only 45 calories each, and usually they satisfy my late-night sweet tooth.

  • I keep bars of dark chocolate in the fridge and break off a square after dinner.

  • I like to do unsweetened applesauce with cinnamon.  I also like a big cup of hot tea (unsweetened).  It curbs the sweet cravings.
