Big news!

I am going back to school! AHHH I'm so nervous. I'm notorious for dropping out of school (dropped out of 3 colleges so far!) so hopefully it sticks this time. My plan is to go back to my local CC and get a direct transfer associates degree (already agreed upon between the CC and local universities so all credits transfer) and then possibly transfer and get a 4 year.

I just applied for admissions and I just need to go take the assessment test!

Re: Big news!

  • Congrats on making the decision to go back to school. I went to college after high school but was not successful as I was stressing about paying for my apartment and bills. I also tried University of Phoenix but I didn't like their program. I am saying all of this to say, I then ended up at my local CC and finished with my associates. I transferred to a local university and I should graduate in May with my bachelors degree. I enjoyed getting my associates first to have something on my resume plus for the lower tuition.

    Good luck!

  • That is exciting! Good Luck!

  • Thanks!!! I'm super excited. The CC is really close to my house, and by the time I'm done I'll be legally able to sell my house (I can't until May of next year due to First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit) So IF I wanted to move north toward Seattle to go to a University downtown I'd possibly be able to, or if I stay in the area the University of Washington has a campus in Tacoma which is much closer to me than the main one in North Seattle. As long as I get this degree with a 2.75 GPA or higher I'll be automatically accepted to UW. Not to any specific program, but the school at least.  So that's a start!
  • Good for you for going back!
