DH and I want to do a babymoon in mid-June. We will not be flying (for $ and I get serious motion sickness flying) and we'd like to keep the drive within 8 hours because we have to stop every 2 hours per doctors orders. Our original plan was to do Niagara Falls (Canadian side), but now I keep 2nd guessing that, so can someone convince me why Niagara Falls would be a good idea or give me some of your ideas? Looking for somewhere with things to do, but nothing crazy because well I'm pregnant!

Re: babymoon ideas
How long do you want to be away for? DH and I went to Niagara Falls last October and had a great time. The falls really are spectacular. We enjoyed the park setting on the American side as well as the silly wax museums, mini golf, ferris wheel, etc. on the Canadian side. That being said, I would only consider this to be a weekend getaway- any longer than that and I think you would be bored. If you wanted something longer, I would look elsewhere or perhaps combine Niagara Falls with Toronto or something like that.
If you're looking for a hotel rec, I would definitely stay here again.

I thought everything seemed very clean and nice while still being relatively inexpensive. The continental breakfast was probably one of the nicest that I've seen from a hotel of this level- tons of food (even hot food), very clean, refilled continuously. The location is pretty good too. We just left our car parked there and walked everywhere from the hotel.
I knew I was forgetting something! We're thinking probably 3 or 4 full days.
DH and I went to Niagara Falls a few years ago, and had a great time! We drove from Baltimore, so it's good that you are even closer and will have a shorter drive.
I was not pregnant at the time, but have been pregnant obviously (see ticker), and I think it's doable while pregnant. Since the main attraction (the falls) is huge, you won't have to walk much to see them. Once you are down by the water, the view is amazing from pretty much anywhere!
We also did the behind the falls tour, which you could probably do pregnant (not 100% sure on that though, based on the rules of the tour, but I don't see why not). We also did the Maid of the Mist boat ride, which was a lot of fun. Again, I don't see why you couldn't do that pregnant.
Like PP said too, there are lots of other fun things to do (museums, mini golf, etc)
I think you would have a lot of fun.
We went in June and the weather was gorgeous, just take lots of water and remember to stop often to rest. Carrying around another person is hard work!
