Christin

I was thinking about you over the weekend. How are you feeling? What did you ever decide re telling your sister?

Re: Christin

  • You're psychic.  We told our families this weekend.  When I told my mom, she asked if I'd told devil sister.  No.  And I don't intend to.  So mom starts giving me a hard time about it, you know she has "problems" Christin.  Yapyapyap.  Finally I agree I'll send her an email.  Cause really, this could just be one more "Isn't Christin HORRIBLE" sob story she could tell our aunts and cousins.  I figure, if I send her a brief FYI email, she can't play victim, and if anything, she's the a-hole if she doesnt respond.  My Mom asked that I at least send it in a nice e-card, which made me LOL.  So I sent her a very brief note.  "Hey, I know we haven't really been speaking, but wanted to let you know ....  Tell husband hi for us.  Take care, Christin". I was annoyed at first that my mom pressured me about it, but honestly this is better than constantly wondering if she knows or how she'll find out.  So, that's done.  We've told all family and friends.  I'm glad to have that part over.  I'm feeling pretty good lately.  Aside from an emotional outburst yesterday over spring forward ruining my ability to be productive (minor mental breakdown, no joke, I don't know where my sense has gone to) I've been great.  I hardly feel like I'm pregnant aside from the rock solid poos and pants that don't fit despite the fact that I've barely gained any weight.  Did that happen to anyone else?

  • I'm glad you came to a decision on telling your sis and I think your approach makes sense.  So exciting that you let the cat out of the bag with family and friends. How far along are you now? I gained maybe 3 lbs for the whole first tri, but by the end I couldn't fit into my pants anymore without a Bella band. Totally normal.

  • I'm just over 10 weeks.  I gained 1.5 lbs right at the beginning, and aside from bloat fluctuations have stayed steady since.

  • I think telling your sister via email is a good idea. She would find a way to turn you not telling her into her greatest martyrdom yet.

So when will the c0ckblockery on your Facebook wall be over?

  • I forgot about that.  This week I guess?

  • Sigh.  Oh Audrey.  I'm sorry I'm so much better at being pregnant than you are.  Let me know if you'd like some tips.

  • I am pretty bad at it, obviously. I may or my not put a curse on you to go to 42 weeks. We'll find out!

  • Audrey, you forget that you're so awesome at being pregnant that you can produce a baby in half the time that it takes regular people.
