How did 12.3 go?

  • Simply put, awful. I was so slow and so tired. The pushpress killed me. I have no excuses, I just didn't perform. I know I could do better but not a ton. I only got 3 roudns and 6 T2B. Oh well. Now I know where my major weaknesses are. Can only get better, right? Thanks for checking up! Did you do it again? Over 300?

    I did try again on Sunday and my day was just like yours.  I had hosted my DD's 6th birthday party on Saturday (14 crazy 5-7 year olds in a Children's Musuem + a few over for dinner and a sleepover).  Lost an hour of sleep.  Sick 2 year old who woke up early and crabby.  General poor nutrition during the weekend (family visitinng, birthday party, going out lots).  I felt terrible when I got up Sunday, but the gym didn't open 'til 2 pm, so I thought I'd be fine.

    Not.

    I got almost exactly the same score (few points less) than my first attempt.

    Ugh.

    Can't be on every time, right?

    Despite that, my score still counted for the team score (Just call me Miss Third Place) and my team is sitting #20 in the Southwest Region.

  • Well kudos for trying that one again. I'm still super sore from it. My score has counted each time but we are a box of slow folks. LOL I really REALLY wish our coaches were more ... uhhh...hmmm...determined and aggressive with their training at times. We are a fairly newer box (maybe a year and a half or less) and things are moving slowly. I guess it's on myself to push harder if I want to accomplish more. Boo hiss. LOL
  • I went in to do a WOD yesterday and about 2 rounds into it (it was 7 rounds) I knew I shouldn't be there.  My shoulders were just SO sore from 12.3, not to mention I had 2 group fitness classes to teach Monday, 3 today, 1 tomorrow, and 1 Thursday before I even get to 12.4

    I forced myself to stay out of the box today LOL!

    I have been so lucky that I found this gym.  The programming is amazing.  People are making really amazing gains and they aren't *too* competitive, except for the Games.  And they are only 2 years old.
